I'm often asked where we find these clean, unique vehicles.A good friend cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, our V.F.W. Hall and the small-town back streets of rural areas near Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a door a mile away...He'll notice when a nice old car or truck is driving with a turn signal left on just a little too long and he positively twitches with glee when a metal-bumpered vehicle passes by!Occasionally, one of our local collector contacts or a club member will part with a Jeep from their stable. This one came to me from the son of the original owner. After being purchased new in nearby Tacoma, it's remained here in our snow-free western half of the state thereby avoiding exposure to rust-causing road salt. If you're in the market for a clean vintage SUV, please give this nice Grand Wagoneer your kind attention. You're free to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the Ebay auction listing. My name is Mark and you can call (or text) me at 206/914-1173.

CONDITION:

The photos really tell the Grand Wagoneer's story (all posted here were taken on 2/21/2019). From them you'll see the rig has obviously been well cared for over the years. We've found absolutely NO evidence of any accidents, storm damage, insurance salvage, theft recovery, repossession or any other nasty negatives to cause you concern as the next caretaker! Please be sure to look over the AutoCheck history report attached to this listing.

I take pride in these vehicles and feel you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, here's a list of the good and any small things I've come across possibly needing to be sorted: The four-wheel drive system works just as it should. With a flip of a switch the drive train goes to full 4x4 mode when needed, so most of the time you're able to remain in 2WD, not wearing out the strong Dana front axle components during summertime highway use.The overall exterior is in good condition. The rig wears factory-color dark blue paint, having been resprayed to its original color sometime in the past. There are no rock chips, clearcoat fading or major dents; just a bit of lacquer-checking on the hood. Rust?Well, this classic Jeep HATES rust and you'd be hard pressed to find anything here to worry about! Because we rarely get snow west of the Cascades in western Washington, our winter roads are never salted.Climb over, under and throughout - I know you'll come up smiling!

One turn of the key and the strong 360 CID V8 fires right up with just a few pumps of the gas pedal. There's a nice, throaty rumble to the exhaust. The three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, just like it should, with NO slippage.Of course, there's a tilt steering column, standard six-way power bucket seats, power windows and power steering & brakes. All four stock alloy wheels are wrapped with name-brand radials, each with at least 60% remaining tread. It really is fun to drive anywhere you'd wish to go and you're guaranteed to get a "thumbs up" every time!

Please take another look at the interior pics. The low 77,920 miles showing on the odometer are backed up by the past owner, our AutoCheck report and the overall condition. Most often when I come across these vintage rigs, the first thing needed is a new headliner as they're often sagging or removed. This Grand Waggy arrived at our place with the headliner looking factory-new as the photo shows. All carpets are fresh and clean. The leather seats, both front and back, are in good condition as pictured. All the glass is crack and chip-free, including the windshield. The original (and now rare) AMC cassette radio is still in place. That's unusual as most failed long ago and were replaced with a modern AM-FM.I'd suggest doing the same or having this one rebuilt because the tuner is finicky and only stays on when it wants to. Power windows on Grand Wagoneers are typically slow-moving, and these fit that bill, but all do work including the power tailgate glass.I've never tried to open the factory-authorized ASC sunroof because the toggle switch is missing (the sunroof does NOT leak). At the moment, the A/C isn't blowing cold (not sure what that will require, other than a service and recharge). That's about it! You'll likely notice the unusual cargo area spare tire mount. I've never encountered one on any past GW's we've owned. Though unusual, it's a great idea as you'll never have to crawl beneath the rig to drop the spare in case of a flat. If you're thinking of bidding on a comparable Chevy Suburban or Ford Bronco of similar vintage, you really do owe it to yourself to drive and look this Grand Wagoneer over first!

PLEASE DO BID WITH CONFIDENCE and know that you are purchasing a nice classic from a respected Ebay seller.I want you to be happy with your purchase and that's the main goal! Please don't be upset by a missed flaw or some unforeseen problem. No vintage used car or truck is ever perfect.Having said that, please know this rig runs out well and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it long distance immediately.

Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, I require that Ebay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions call, text or email before placing a bid.If I don't have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. As outlined above, the phone number to talk directly to me is 206/914-1173.Please feel free to call any time during the auction. You're welcome and encouraged to come by my Auburn, WA warehouse to look over and drive the Grand Wagoneer. If you're out of the area, I'll make time to meet your inspection service there. If truly interested, consider calling to make an offer, as many of my vehicles sell to smart "early birds" that work out a deal prior to the auction's end.I always reserve the right to sell during this period.

A Few Additional Terms and Conditions:

A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction ending with full payment of the balance by cash (in person only) or certified funds within seven business days unless prior arrangements have been made with me.I can accept credit or debit cards, but I'll first need to email an invoice and ask that you cover the 3.25% fee our card processor charges us for any amount above the $500 deposit. Please remember you're bidding to buy and I fully expect the winner to fulfill their Ebay contract! You're not bidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the vehicle later -- You're more than welcome to do this before the auction ends.

If you decide to have theJeep transported home, there are scores of companies to choose from.I ship vehicles regularly and am happy to make suggestions about who to use.In addition to quotes using the shipping tab here on the auction site, I have access to the nationwide Central Dispatch site and can post the freight for an amount YOU want to pay to attract a transporter for delivery.Ultimately, shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER.

TheWagoneer can be stored free of charge at my location for up to two weeks after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. After that period storage is $20 per day.The vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. All information described above is based on the observed condition when thelisting was placed. I've done my very best to describe the Jeep as accurately and encourage bidders to contact me with questions.
