1984 Jeep CJ-7 CJ7 CJ Survivor
1984 Jeep CJ
Finding a restored Jeep is relatively easy, finding an original survivor is not so easy.
Up for sale, my 1984 Jeep Survivor CJ-7. This has not been restored and is mostly original.
The front grill and windshield frame have been repainted. The original carburetor has been removed as well as the AMC spark box (parts saved and they go with the Jeep). An Old Man Emu lift kit has been installed (original springs were shot, but the mounts have been saved).
I use this Jeep as my daily driver in the summer, it is garaged and driven without the doors and top.
It is an original soft top Jeep, but the original top was gone when I purchased it and it had been replaced with a hard top and doors (I have painted the doors to match the Jeep). I have since found and purchased an original Wilco Garnet soft top and doors. They have never been fitted to the jeep (which is an extensive process, I do have the instructions). The rear window of that top has a one inch cut in it. Garnet is a rare color and these tops are very hard to find. It goes with the Jeep.

Problems
1) If left sitting more than 3 days, the carburetor bowl drains back and the engine must be cranked three times to get fuel back to the carburetor.
2) The steering does not return to center after cornering, the front end has been aligned and 8 degree caster wedges have been added. A newly professional rebuilt original steering gear box comes with the Jeep.
3) Rear brakes have started to squeal on the first application after sitting (needs a brake job)
4) After these pictures were taken the left front bumper was hit and bent back. The only damage is to the bumper itself. I am in the process of replacing it.
5) For off road use only (emissions have been removed (and saved)).
6) There is a burn hole in the front carpet from a spot light that was left on laying on the carpet
