1984 Jeep CJ

The Jeep has been almost completely re-done. There are so many items that I have replaced on the jeep I don't know if I will remember everything but I have paperwork to back up most all that I am going to list. So I am sure that I will leave something out and if you have questions please ask. If I were going to keep it I would replace the tracking bar just so it steered with a little less wander. The speedometer doesn't work and its due to the worm gear in the transmission. it doesn't make contact with the speedometer gear in the side of the transfer case. Everything else is new. The gear itself, the speedo cable, and the new instrument cluster. The dome light I have not checked. It probably works. So here is my list of things that I have done to the jeep. It has Power Steering and Power Brakes. NO AC

Transmission pulled and all new seals and testing for wear on gears.

Transfer case completely resealed with new seals as well.

New engine from Jasper about 5000 miles ago. Still has amsoil break in oil in it.

New Aluminum radiator

New Ford Motorcraft carburetor. The carters on the originals were garbage.

New shocks

New KO2's BF Goodrich

New MT Rims

New front seats from qudratec

Floor mats quadratec

Rhino lining

Bikini top

New center console

New rubber all the way around windshield, doors, under hardtop, roll up windows, wing windows. The only rubber that hasn't been replaced is around the back windshield. Its in good shape.

New front drive shaft

New mirrors

new hood hinge set

new headlights with chrome bezels

new parking lamp and turn signals

a $5000 paint job

replaced the skid plate and repositioned

New float and sending unit in gas tank

New door window cranks

New rear view mirror

New shifter boots

front end regreased

Amsoil transmission fluid and gear lube in all

New heavy duty clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing

New master cylinder

Steering wheel

AM FM CD Player and speakers (wheel well mounts)

Padded roll bars installed

New pedal covers

New matching spare rim and used matching tire.

I know there are a ton of things that I am forgetting. If you have questions please let me know I will do my dead level best to get you pictures or copies of the mountain of receipts that I have to show most all of this.

The 4WD works great no issues. It drives and cranks and runs just fine. The auto choke on the Motorcraft needs to be adjusted for cold weather but warm weather is almost here so I would leave it alone.

I got it to enjoy and rebuild. I have done that. The one thing I haven't done is enjoy it the way it should be. For the last year its been driven only occasionally and sat in the garage. I love it but my kids are wanting to wake board. That is the ONLY reason I am selling. My kids mean more to me than a jeep!!!
