19810000 Jeep J10 J10, pickup, 4x4, j-series

Up for sale is my 1981 Jeep J10 Step-side "Honcho" Pickup. There are many cars and trucks listed here on eBay that refer to vehicles as being "rare”, this 1981 J10 Honcho is RARE. From the information I've been able to obtain, the production run on this truck went from 1980-1988, with a total production run of less than 2500 of the Step-side J10 Honchos being produced. My truck is a 258 6cyl, 4-speed, AC California truck with all the factory smog equipment still in place. The most Here you go Eric here's some info on the scout 800, when you look for pricing you want the: International Scout 800, 800a or 800b, traveltop or roadster, V-8 266 or 304 are the specs. Note, from 67-71 International started using the V8 motors in the 800's. 1967 and 1968 models were called scout 800. In 1969 and 1970 the name changed to scout 800a, then in 1971 they changed the name again to scout 800b. The 800b's were only made for half a year in 71, then a entirely new body styles came out called the Scout II. The 800's are all pretty much the same as far as powertrain, brakes and steering. The only real difference was that some trucks were 4 and 6 cylinder and others were v-8's. The v-8 with a 4-speed is the most desirable. Hope that helps important part about this Honcho is that it's completely rust free, it's spent its entire life here in the dry Central Valley of California. The truck runs and drives really good, it's just had all it's maintenance done to include some parts replaced. Items that are new/replaced OEM correct: new carburetor, new radiator, and new starter. The wheels and tires are new with approx 200-300 miles on them. 15" wheels and 33" tires. The paint on the truck is not in great shape on a scale of 1-10 it's approx 5, however it looks as though it can be buffed out and polished which would improve it greatly. The motor and transmission preform nicely, no leaks or smoking. We just had the truck Smog Certified for here in California and we have the clear California title in hand ready to go. Note, all the AC components appear to be in place however the system will need to be serviced to work. Some of the Gauges are not working, currently the speedo and temp gauges work consistently but the other factory gauges within the cluster work sporadically. The front bumper guard and roll bars are factory items consistent with the "Honcho”. I've driven the truck plenty and find it to be a very good truck. Please call or send messages for more information. We love this truck and would love to keep it, it's a very good example of a super rust free Honcho not many left out there. Lastly, I reserve the right to end this listing if a qualified offer is made on the truck via eBay or locally, so if interested please feel free to call and workout a deal thanks, 661-340-3497

Late note, with some help from a very nice eBay buyer I was able to find some more info on product numbers for the J10 Honcho, info found via Wikipedia under Jeep Gladiator and Jeep pickup trucks.Wikipedia states that that the product run was from 1976-1983 with only 1264 of these trucks made in the sport-side, also known as the stepside. Thanks
