1966 Jeep CJ

YOU TELL ME, IS IT the NICEST ORIGINAL AROUND? Super fun neighborhood cruiser! Has all the good Jeep stuff like the easy-folding windshield. As it appears to me, and I might be wrong; Built by Kaiser when acquired from WILLYS and first registered 6/66 according to my AZ title, that's June 1966 and, that's 666. See how the tailgate sheetmetal/paint does not have stamped 'WILLYS" on tailgate. (Willys script deleted FROM TAILGATE SHEETMETAL/PAINT STAMPING DIES by Kaiser), only "4WD", and has the "Jeep" on both sides...Was only made 3 or 4 years and then sold to AMERICAN MOTORS 69-70 and never was there another v6 factory installed in a cj because AM used their Rambler straight sixes instead...LOL, now that Chrysler has acquired AM and Jeep they finally, around 2015, went to a (Chrysler eng.) 3.7l v6 again in Jeeps...BUT THIS BABY IS THE Sweeeeet original machine! Clean and ready AZ title. Low, low block A 65666 miles. Super tight and super strong! First year of CJ or MJ to have other than a four cylinder eng, this has super nice running factory original appearing BUICK DAUNTLESS 3.7 V6 THAT IS RARE and even great to have! The ODDFIRE ENGINE has its own RADICAL firing order, jumps across intersections as the "fastest". We took it on US 60 two days and had easy 60 mph on ramp and was just going puttt, putt, putt felt like I could have had hit 120 easily with just the easy push to the roadster pedal! (If I had the guts, is a jeep after all) and having FOUR shifters, not three...has the awesome bad boy OVERDRIVE...(was VERY SMOOTH AND CONTROLLABLE RIGHT UP TO 70 MPH, fastest we went) see the pictures closely! Perfect running and driving condition. Terrific modern/retro/original electrical system! The air cleaner that came with and comes with it was kept off because it interferes with the smooth manual choke operation. The original should have been oil bath type I suppose but a "correctly spec/fitted aftermarket paper element one should be fine. Of course there can be leaks of gear oil and the body has only light rust as seen...HAS FACTORY-ORIGINAL GOLD-BEIGE PAINT with really nice pantina, as far as I'm concerned I'm not intending to repaint it. Nice to see night or day! imho....The previous owner patched up the floor boards in front and they feel solid enough. PLUS, has a new roadster throttle pedal and control installed. Original hand choke works normally. Has the original throttle dash cable too. Has a nice aftermarket OEM Speedometer instrument display too. Has a new glove box liner! Sweet ride! PS This is real quiet but when I was a old kid, I drove one like it that had dual glasspack exhaust all the way to the back (LOL only 81" W.B.) OMG, the heavenly-sweet sound!
PPS Passes emissions? RIGHT!!! 1966 baby!! No testing requirements anywhere, ever,,,but IM sure it would pass because it runs like new!!! Drive it to anywhere, today...:)
*Has a box of nice and decent old stuff off da 66 here such as an awesome chrome spotlight, mirror, other lights, the heater system, some brackets and other weird stuff that I forgot whats in there...goes with if you remind me before you drive off. Of course you, the experienced owner/buyer, understand the difference of spending 5000 and not having to spend another dime to start enjoying AND, spending 5000 and then having to start spending more and more time and money before enjoying the item, right? Yep, lots better getting good one to start! Of course its customizable and is collectable as-is, to go up in value! Of course you can cherry it out if you so desire too! Ask all the questions you want, no problem, i have lots of time, I suppose... my cell 480 332 2019 Thanks, Kelly
