I am selling my 1979 Cummins powered Jeep Cherokee Chief.This may be the best, if not the most awesome Cherokee ever to grace the earth!With a 93 model 5.9L intercooled and turbocharged Cummins 12v motor, Dana 60 front, and 70 rear this jeep is ready for the apocalypse.The jeep has had a complete ground up restoration/ modification with comforts such as air-conditioning and heated seats installed as noted below:

-The frame:Completely disassembled, sand blasted, and coated with an undercoat of POR-15 and a top coat of chassis black.Trussing added to the spring mounts up front and rear mounts modified to accept ¾ ton dodge springs.Front springs re-arched and rebuilt.All new brake line tubing installed.A second side mounted polyurethane fuel tank (36 gallons overall) was installed on the LH frame rail and all new fuel lines added.Polyurethane bushings installed throughout.

-Running gear:Dana 70 rear axle with trac lock rebuilt with new seals, modified with disc brakes that include parking brake, re-finished, and installed.Dana 60 front axle rebuilt with new seals, new kingpins, new discs, and new high steer arms installed along with heavy duty high steer kit. Getrag 360 5 speed transmission professionally rebuilt and installed with all new polyurethane bushings at NP205 transfer case and modified cross member.

-Engine:93 model 1st gen 5.9L Cummins 12V intercooled and turbo charged.BD power exhaust manifold with 4” exhaust.Turbo blanket and exhaust heat wrap installed to control excess heat.Custom 4” intake and intercooler pipes installed.VE pump rebuilt.Modified 4 core radiator.High flow power steering pump and hydro boost power brake conversion.

-Body:1979 Cherokee body stripped and or sand blasted.Fuel filler area modified to include 2 filler necks for the two fuel tanks.All unnecessary holes in firewall filled.Dash and panel modified for DD radio and custom gauges.Bottom side sprayed with POR-15 followed by polyurethane black finish coat.Interior sprayed with POR-15 followed by 2 coats of Kevlar Bed Armor.Sound deadening material applied to inside firewall, inside doors, rear fender wells, and roof.Body coated with DuPont paint with striping painted and clear coated.

-Electrical:All new wiring installed with new style fuses.2 optima sealed batteries installed on separate circuits.High output alternator.Power windows, locks, and alarm system.All LED lights installed except for headlights.Aftermarket cruise control installed but inactive (requires either replacement of tail lights from LED to stock or installation of diodes to bypass lights in order to work).

-Interior:Custom leather interior (leftovers from a Gulfstream aircraft) with heated Procar Rally seats.Center console and overhead console added and integrated.New fitted carpet throughout, headliner recovered.Vintage air air-conditioning installed and integrated into custom dash.

-Audio/Video:Kenwood 9990hd with navigation and hands free Bluetooth.Amplifier, 2 6X8, 2 6X9, 2 tweeters, and one 10 inch subwoofer installed.Multi camera video interface installed (up to 6 cameras can be integrated) under dash to flip video on installed rear view camera.Cobra CB radio with fire stick.

-Accessories tires and wheels:Tires are 37X125X17 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar’s with 90% or better tread showing.Wheels are 17X9 Mickey Thompson DC1’s.Matching spare tire and wheel.VIAIR heavy duty air compressor with 2 gallon tank installed under body.Crawler front and rear bumpers with tool box jerry cans mounted on rear.12k waterproof Smittybuilt winch with synthetic line mounted up front.Custom rock sliders tied into frame.Custom top rack with lights front and rear.Custom switch panel.

To sum up, this is a custom retro modern truck with leather interior, AC, navigation, and power everything that can go anywhere and pull just about anything.Why am I selling it?I like building things and my new project (an airplane) has my attention and time going forward.
