1966 International Harvester Scout 800

NO RESERVE ! You are bidding to OWN the scout, no buy it now price!
This is just a "far out" international scout! This thing has BRIGHT metal flake green paint that really pops in the sunlight! it has period looking graphics on the lower rockers. The real treat is the GM good wrench crate 350 cubic inch v8, with about 45k miles on it, connected to a th350 automatic transmission. The engine has long tube headers, new dual exhaust pipes with new dual mufflers, Edlebrock electric choke carburetor and aluminum performance intake. It has an HEI distributor, new alternator, new battery, new high performance aluminum radiator, electric fan, and new trans cooler, new water pump, rebuilt starter, and a B&M shifter. All 4 tires are new and have less than 2 miles on them.A new master cylinder, rear soft line, new rear wheel cylinders/rebuilt fronts make the brakes work well for what they are.The entire wiring harness has been replaced, new headligh, turn signal, and dimmer switches, new off road lights, and tail lights. the interior has the original bench seat in pretty good shape, and a grant gt steering wheel. The body is better than average, in my opinion, pretty straight solid, no real chips, maybe a few little dents here and there, but nothing that takes away from the look or charm of the scout. Tail gate is custom/smoothed, The top and divider behind the seat are both removable, making a cool convertible! The windshield is new. The floors are pretty solid, a few patches here and there, truck bed liner was added to prevent any future damage and easy clean up! Great for a weekend beach cruiser! This truck looks cool, starts right up and runs well, steering is tight and pretty light for an old truck, tags expired in 1982! mileage shows under 50k possibly accurate, but no way to verify. This is a real head turner, and fun to drive. This scout originally had about 80 horsepower, it now has easily more than double! I would guess in the neighborhood of 250hp So now it is quite quick! I have not driven it very far or fast since it was put back into running condition, but seems like a good runner so far!Having said all this, it is not perfect, it is not a new Honda, it is over 50 years old and may need more work/finishing/tinkering depending on what you want to do with it. You are welcome to ask questions or set up a time to come see it and I will do my best to accommodate you. You are bidding to OWN the truck, not the right of first refusal, therefore, the $500 deposit is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable, bid only if you fully intend to close the deal, it takes time, money and effort to post on here, keep that in mind! I have a fresh TX title in my name in hand for this scout. Thanks for looking!
