Vehicle Details

Owned for the past 10 years, it's time to let go of the beloved 1968 GMC C2500.. Has the rare, original 351 V6 and SM465 4 speed.

The engine and the rear diff. (4.10 Dana 60) was overhauled back in theearly 90's as the truck was used for missionary duty from no. cal to Mexico, as told by the previous owner and stillruns and drives excellent to this day.

Several upgrades have been done since owned, as follows..

Truck came equipped with power steering, but it was the external ram design. It has since been upgraded to a more modern integral power steering gear with an easier-to-drive quicker ratio.

The manual drum brakes have been replaced with power front disc brakes.

An aluminum radiatorhas been installed.

The original Stromberg carburetor has been replaced with a Holley 500 2 barrel.. Runs MUCH better!

Distributor has Pertronix electronic ignition.

Upgraded alternator.

Headlights are wired to run off relays.. More efficientand made the dash gauge lights much brighter.

Prior to my ownership, two saddle fuel tanks were added for a total of three tanks. All three are currently functional. They'll be needed for any long distance travel, as these old V6's are not known for fuel efficiency!

Dual exhaust has Flowmaster mufflers added. Sounds amazing with the big V6 but the older exhaust system is showing its age.

Have LOTS of documentation!

Original paint has great patina (almost TOO much patina!) and looks great with the decades of bumps and bruises.

Interior can use a bit of attention, but it's functional. Original upholstery is behind the seat cover.

Actual vehicle mileage is unknown as the original odometer never functioned in my ownership. The speedometer was recently replaced with a used one and now the odometer works fine.

Tires are a couple of years old but maybe have a 1000 miles on them.

This truck is sparsely used for home improvement store trips, moving kid's stuff to and from college, and to Glamis once a year.

A fresh oil change and valve adjustment was performed in late September so she's ready to roll.

All replaced parts are included with truck.

Chances are, there's other stuff not mentioned.. Feel free to contact me if there's any questions.
