Description:

1951 GMC Other Series 150

This is an original 1951 GMC PU Truck, Series 150 (3/4) ton pickup. The seat belts and turn signals were added in subsequent years because those options were not available or required in 1951. Original 6 volt electrical system (positive ground) AM radio, and starter on the floor. Three (3) Speeds plus aGrannygear. The original stock color was white; it was painted green about 20 years ago, theengine fender wells and firewall show the original white color. It appears to have the original wood bed with some rot that is to be expected.

Everything works and operates except for the driver side spot light and the AM radio needs the speaker installed. That’s how it came when I bought it, no speaker. I purchased the original factory speaker and it’s new in the box to be included in the sale. I also included in the boxes of parts including a new bulb for the spot light and extra parts for the radio (new) if needed. For the time I owned the truck I never drove it above 45 mph because of its age. Never have any issues except a new battery put in this spring after the winter. It’s kept in the garage during the winter and I try to use the truck to keep it operable and used during the spring and summer. These photos do not show the new stock GMC hub caps I put on all six rims. They are chrome with red lettering GMC.

It has theoriginal 228 cu. in. V6 engine. The odometer is stuck at 43,000. I’m sure it has rolled at least once but I do not know how many actual miles are on the truck. No mechanical issues

I have many NEW extra parts including, all new locks and key ignition, rebuilt dash instrumentation/gages. New speaker for the am radio, brake pads, pull cables for the choke and knobs. More stuff in two full boxes I purchased and collected over the years all of it NEW not some rusted crap to be welded or polished and painted another time.I also have the original owners manual and service manual with some receipts from previous owners for this truck.

Final sale must be cash or cashier’s check at my bank during bank hours for everyone’s protection. PayPal is also an option for those not local. I hold a clear title to this truck and will hand to the new owner in the bank once paid in full.

This truck is what some folks call a barn find and has not been changed from its original 1951character. I drive it to work onoccasionand sometimes get offers to sell it. I will pull this listing if that occurs.

Thank you.
