1972 Ford F250 4 wheel drive highboy 16,000 original miles on engine and body. The build started out with a 16,000 original 2wd truck now married to a 1976 F250 Highboy frame and axles. I have done several of these trucks over the years having owned a frame off restoration business for many years!The '76 Highboy frame was selected because of the open knuckle Dana 44HD front end with disc brakes. The frame was disassembled, cleaned, blasted, and powder coated. Everything looks new and detailed to be factory appearing. All new hardware, brake lines, brake components (front & rear), working parking brake, shocks, rear springs, drive shaft, u-joints, all fluids, upgraded lock out hubs, still have the originals, 5 brand new tires with zero miles, everything is very nicely detailed.The Dana 60 rear and dana 44 front with 4.10 ratio axles, 205 transfer case, New Process 4 speed transmission are all matching from the '76 F250. The 240 inline six with 16k original miles starts and runs perfectly. Added features are a new later model 1 ton steering box and components to make it all function, (very expensive kit) tilt steering column with original Ford steering wheel.The interior is just amazing. The seat still has the plastic seat protector from 1972. The dash component, cluster, radio, are so nice they appear to be NOS pieces but are the originals. Everything works, horn, wipers, e-brake, radio, heater, etc. The headlights, marker lights, tail lights are all crisp and clean.Overall the truck has a patina of a 1 to 2 year old vehicle. The truck has had very little usage and appears to never of hauled anything in the bed.I believe it had a topper of some sort most of it's life but not on the truck when I bought it.
