Vehicle Details
1960 Ford Country Squire 9 Passenger Station Wagon California Black plate car. I replaced
front bench seats with buckets so it is technically an 8 passenger wagon now.
This is a California car I bought locally in Northern California in 2015. The previous owner did a frame off restoration on it via a mild custom build. I left the body as is but changed out everything
else. I have put approximately 5k miles on it since owning and have done the below work
slowly over the years. A lot of NOS trim used during build. I will upload under carriage pics as soon as I can get access to a lift.
Read details below. There are a lot of modifications to this vehicle. Video link below. You may have to copy and paste.

Starts right up like a modern car. Gets a lot of attention wherever I go which typically includes people pulling out their cameras as I drive down the road or pulling up to gas pump and those nearby
trying to figure out what kind of car it is.
Body/Exterior
Previous owner removed body from frame, painted body with single stage paint in factory
Aquamarine (i think). Original color was Corinthian White per door tag.
Cowl recently repainted due to filling in antenna hole and windshield wiper openings.
All stainless/chrome was redone, vinyl wrap replaced and fiberglass faux wood trim was re-done with wood like finish and clear coated.
Frame and most other parts where all powdercoated including front fender wells and radiator support.
Headlights are LED, replaced all other exterior lighting with LED Bulbs
Wheels/Brakes-
Billet Specialties 18x8" front and 20x8.5" rear polished Rat Tail wheels with BFG Tires
Wilwood 6 piston 14" cross drilled/slotted rotors in front and back. Front was modified to fit Fatman spindles
Wilwood Master cylinder mounted to Hydraboost brake set up with separate reservoir, brake proportioning valve.
Rotor size is overkill but better fills the openings.
Drivetrain-
1997 Lincoln Mark VIII 4.6 engine with 78k miles. I bought vehicle and pulled engine and other parts.
Vehicle ran perfect but I still tore apart block, did a valve job to heads and replaced all gaskets. Work
was done by engine shop.
Ford (I think Lightning) Rear Sump Oil Pan
Transmission worked well but didn't want to have to go back in again down the road so I bought a brand
new 4R470W 4 speed automatic transmission. Overdrive button mounted to dash.
Custom built Stainless Steel fuel tank with 255lph built in fuel pump. All fluid lines are AN Hose with AN fittings except tranny cooler lines.
Modified driveshaft
Rack and Pinion power Steering
Stock ECU (reprogrammed to remove PATS/EGR) controlled by Ron Francis stand alone wiring harness specific to this vehicle
Stock 9” Rear end housing was recently shortened 1" on either side to help clear hitting wheel wells when driving over bumps, new axle shafts, seals, oil, and added 3.55 gears which matches up well with engine/transmission. I used to run 3.25 gears and RPM was too low cruisin around.
Canton Coolant reservoir, Aluminum Radiator (I think Griffin) with Dual SPAL fans and transmission cooler
Powermaster one wire 200amp Chrome alternator
Powermaster mini Starter
Optima Red Top Battery
Exhaust-
Custom built headers by Sanderson Exhaust
Magnaflow Mufflers- bought longer model to quiet down exhaust noise a bit
Suspension-
Front- Fatman 2" drop spindles, adjustable Ridetech coilvers, Alco Sway Bar,
Rear- adjustable Ridetech Rear Shocks, Eaton 2" Drop Leaf Springs, 1" drop blocks= 3" drop in back
Interior-
Custom Dash w/ approximately 300 hours in labor of modifications. Added cowl over cluster, modified opening under cluster, filled in speaker, glove compartment, ash tray, moved curve near gauges over 2' to allow for radio to mount, added to bottom middle to fit ac vents, flushed in a/cvents on corners, filled in miscellaneous holes, custom window for odometer.
Dakota Digital custom gauge cluster with speedometer, fuel, temp, oil,RPM, check engine light, bright light, turn indicators, digital odometer
Stock brake pedal, Lincoln Mark VIII accelerator pedal
Restomod Air Air conditioning/heat with custom 3 pod controls and vents mounted in dash
Ididit Steering Column with Con2tr wood steering wheel
Ididit bright light module which moves bright light button to tip of turn signal switch
E-Stop electronic emergency brake. Button to control mounted in dash
Ron Francis Fuse block and wiring harness (separate from ECU harness)
Digital Dawg keyless start button
Wise Guys front seats with custom built rails
1963 Galaxie center console
Lokar Shifter
Nu Relics 4 window power windows with window controler in center console
Custom interior including seats, door panels, headliner and carpet. Carpet is a german tweed
and other material is a high end vinyl material made to look like leather. It was easier to work
with versus leather yet still looks nice.
$8k high end stereo system including Pioneer head unit that flips out with Rear Camera (cameras is located in license plate frame), Image Dynamics 2 way tweeter/6" mid mounted in custom kick panels with 2 10" sub woofers in Spare Tire well mounted in custom box, Audio Control 1300 watt programable amplifier with bass control mounted under dash.
Known Issues-
You have to close doors harder to get them to close properly
vinyl lines don't line up 100% between doors on driver side. You wont notice unless you look for it.
The driver side fiberglass trim piece in front of front door broke. The piece was put back together and you won't notice unless you are up close looking for it.
Rear driver side door seals were coming undone at top so I taped them in 2 spots. I have new seals in bag for rear doors that come with car or you can reglue old ones.
Paint has some small scratches and or chips through out. Small paint bubble cluster on edges of rear glass. Micro bubbles invarious areas. You mostly notice if indoors under a light.
RPM indicator reads high. Had to add a auto meter adaptor but never dialed in 100%.
May get a drop or two of tranny fluid on ground. I was informed I filled the pan too high
Stainless trim has been gone through but will have scratches or small dings in areas
Windshield has a couple of nicks. Top right stainless trim sits a little high. New windshield seal and NOS top stainless trim included.
Tailgate window sticks sometimes when closing if you fully extended it previously. Glass has scratches and rubber trim has cracks.
