1957 Ford Ranchero

*** No Reserve Auction!! ***

1957 Ford Ranchero (Fairlane Model, upgraded moldings on the side). 14" wheels, blasted and painted orange, new tires, nice center caps, band new dual exhaust (sounds very throaty). When I put new tires on, I checked the brakes. Two drums need to be replaced. The wheel cylinders are not leaking but are old. The brake shoes look good. If it were me, I would put power disc brakes on the front of this thing for sure. The bumpers were rechromed years ago and are still in good shape. Nice grille. All the glass is good and rolls up and down like it should, except for the driver door and passenger side vent window are cracked. 351 Cleveland, rebuilt C-4 automatic transmission. 9 inch rear end, aluminum (Champion) radiator, electric fan, new black carpet kit. I painted the sill plates. The original seat has a Mexican blanket on it. 1965 Mustang air condition unit inside with a Sanden compressor under the hood. The air conditioning will work. Needs finishing (unit needs to be charged and wiring finished). New cap, rotor, plugs, wires, battery, oil filter, oil change. Aluminum Edelbrock intake with an Edelbrock 650 cfm carburetor. New fuel pump, rubber lines and the gas tank was taken out, cleaned and sealed. The gauges, horn, blinkers, and lights work. The heater fan motor works. The radio does not work. The dome light works. The aftermarket Sunpro gauges work, oil, temp, not volt gauge. Someone put a Quartz in the original clock and it works well. The headliner and door panels are in good shape, no rips. Clean California title. California black plates, current registration. These cars are usually very, very rusty. This one does have some but not like other ones. Surface rust only in the spare tire well. No holes. It came out of the California desert. It was primered hot rod black years ago and needs it again or leave it for the patina look. The guy I bought it from had it since 2006, almost 20 years. It's an original V8 car and originally red and white with a black interior. It's a California car, built in San Jose. C7-RF-171417 Aluminum tag: 66B VE3 AU 23D712020. The truck runs and drives, will need a little work to be a daily driver, but the price is right!
