I am listing this 1971 Ford Torino for a lady @ my work, her husband passed away and she knows nothing about the car, she just wants it sold as is.. I am selling it for her under my ebay account. It is very solid no rust holes stored indoors in a heated car collection for many years, It started its life as a Gt coupe fastback with a 351, the motor is now a 429 four speed with hurst shifte, it was cobra jet cloned. It runs very strong with a mild cam .It has been stored at another location for years. I listed the car once before and i ended early with no winner but many bids sorry to have to have done that, but we had a gentlemen test drive it the last day of the auction and one brake on the front right of the car locked up and i didn't want it selling after the fac, i want this known. still moves but needs brake work done before it can be driven. The car will need a full gone threw before driving it. It will also need to be trailered home. The pics you see are us removing it from his storage. It was heated and the car was covered up. I drained the gas changed the oil and it fired right up put new battery too because the one in the car had a charger hooked up and the battery exploded took off the paint on the under hood of the car see pics needs paint work. The paint is cracking by the rear window see pics, The car is solid but does needs paint work and i noticed the starter was sticking every now and then when starting, but starts every time. I drove it around the neighborhood runs strong, no funny noises or leaks, shifts smooth. Everything works on the car i did notice the wipers didn't come on maybe a fuse not sure. but lights, blinkers, brake lights radio horn and heater all work. it has electric choke carb fires right up. most the chrome on the car is nice not much pitting mostly very clean no pitting on the rims or bumpers, exhaust is new from front to back, has headers, mild cam sounds real nice,The paint is older but holds a nice shine has a few spots that need addressingthe interior real good for its age needs a good cleaning from sitting, the seats are nice, the car has newer air shock, the head liner has a few tears but all in tact, can be fixed easy. The brakes need work, i believe from just sitting, Under body of car is solid no holes or rust, the seat supports under the car were bent by someone putting a hoist lift in the wrong plac, see pics, but doesn't affect the cars performance, could just weld in frame ties easy fix or just leave it as is it doesn't affect anything.Like i said car has been sitting in a heated pole barn last time it was plated was in 2017 so buyer will need to go threw the car make sure its road ready. Has newer tires, with spare in trunk. Also including K&N air filter new, a new water pump in a box was in the trunk with a few front end parts.
The clean green Michigan title is signed and clean no liens THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS because of the fact its sat for a few years and we know very little about its past. This car could be real cool with a little elbow grease and some paint work. We are located in mid Michigan 48867 we also encourage you pick it up with trailer un till you can go threw it before driving across country. We prefer you pick the car up but will allow shipping once car is paid in full with funds clearing our account before its shipped. No other way. Cash @ pick up is prefer .
