I am listing this 1971 Ford Torino for a friend @ my work, her husband passed away and she knows nothing about the car, she just wants it gone. It is very clean and solid no rust or holes stored indoors in a heated car collection for many years, It started its life as a Gt coupe fast back with a 351, he cobra jet cloned it. It now has a scj 429 4 speed, that runs very strong with a mild cam. I can not tell you much about it as he has passed and she doesn't know much about it. The pics you see are us removing it from his storage. It was heated and the car was covered up. I drained the gas changed the oil and it fired right up new battery as the one in the car had a charger hooked up and the battery exploded took off the paint on the under hood of the car needs paint work. The car is so solid but does needs paint work and i noticed the starter was sticking every now and then when starting, but starts every time. I drove it around the neighborhood runs strong, no funny noises or leaks, shifts smooth, the car is in amazing condition for its age. Everything works on the car i did notice the wipers didnt come on maybe a fuse not sure. but lights, blinkers, brake lights radio horn and heater all work. it has electric choke carb fires right up. interior is clean and seats are nice look great, the car has newer air shocks the air line is cut will need a adaptor for rear end to blow back up, very easy fix, the head liner has a few tears can be fixed easy. The brakes work but seem to need maybe adjusting they are drum brakes stops good. Has power steering, Under body of car is solid no holes or rust, Like i said car has been sitting in a heated pole barn last time it was plated was in 2017 she said he got sick and it sat last few years so buyer will need to go threw the car make sure its road ready. Newer tires, with spare in trunk, Beautiful rims no pitting all the chrome on car is real nice condition. She is also including K&N air filter new, a new water pump in a box was in the trunk with a few front end parts and a set of extra mirrors. She will also include the original 351 block she believes was in the car. it has block with internals and lower intake and heads if the new owner wants them. The title is signed and clean no hold ups here. The car will be being sold as is because she nor i know much about it, except what is stated in the ad above. Come take a look its worth the time. This car could be real cool with a little elbow grease and some paint work. I encourage you to come take a look at it We are located in mid Michigan 48867 we also encourage you pick it up with trailer un till you can go threw it before driving across country. We prefer you pick the car up but will allow shipping once car is paid in full with funds clearing our account before its shipped. No other way. Cash @ pick up is prefer .
