This is an early production 1977, which is the last of the highboys. This Ford F-250 Custom is rolling on vintage hurricane / turbine wheels, wrapped with 36x14.5 super swamper tires. The previous owner upgraded the motor to a fresh 460, complete with new edelbrock carburetor, new alternator, wires, plugs, rotor and cap. In addition, new hoses under the hood, dual electric fan radiator and battery w/ a quick disconnect terminal for storage. This truck runs strong and does not smoke. The 4 spd manual transmission shifts the way it should. Currently the fuel tank behind the seat is the only tank in use, while the two other saddle tanks remain in place. The tank switch operational on the driver side floor. No problems with the rear Dana 60 or the front dana 44. 4wd works as it should. The under carriage is solid as a rock with great looking floor pans. Headers and dual exhaust were installed a few years back. The interior has a new carpet and new door panels. It does not have a headliner. The copper portion of the paint was completely repainted by the previous owner while leaving the tan color as is. It appears the tan was repainted many years ago. This truck is a very nice looking rust free driver. Anyone looking to have a good base of a truck to take to the next level or to just drive as is… this is the truck.
