Vehicle Details

This is as rust free as they can be but please read…..

This truck has been restored minus finishing the exterior paint. It was completely taken apart and reassembled(excluding the rear axle and leaf springs). Run and stops excellent and drives well. Steering is tite. Interior is very comfortable as sound deader was used when assembled.

Frame is in excellent condition. Has been cleaned and painted black. Front I beam suspension disassembled, cleaned, painted black, and reassembled with urethane bushings. Rear plastic gas tank.

Engine is a 460 ford. It is factory short block out of a 1983 f250 with 120,000 miles. Was cleaned, regasketed, and painted. The engine has 1970 D0ve heads with roller rocker arms . They are rebuilt, and giving the engine higher compression because the are a smaller chamber than the heads that came on this engine. Has a aluminum intake and a Holley 4 barrel 750 vac. secondary carb. Factory camshaft with a straight up timing set. Electric fuel pump mounted on frame rail. HEI style all in one distributor. Internally regulated 70A alternator. L&L header’s with cambered mufflers.

Transmission 4 speed manual NP435, cleaned and repainted. Hydraulic Bell housing conversation from a 1983 f250. Hydraulic clutch pedal conversion parts also from 1983 f250. Working perfectly. Firewall reinforced with sheets of 1/8” stainless steel for clutch pedal. Factory pedal hanger professionally modified.

The cab was completely disassembled and media blasted, all surfaces inside and out. Then epoxy primed. The underneath is single stage black urethane paint. The inside of cab was primed with epoxy, base/clear white, then all unfinished hidden surfaces coated with lizard skin heat and sound deadener. Floor pans were professional installed both sides. Antenna hole welded in. Drip rails eliminated.

The doors are rusted on the bottom edge inside and dented from the mirror mounts. A new set of doors is included.

Front fenders are rust free originals. They appear to have two layers of lacquer paint, orange/ white. Hood also has two old layers of paint.

Truck box is 100% rust free. Was purchased many years back when reproductions were available. Was stored inside a climate controlled building until I purchased it. It was meticulously assembled, lined up correctly, disassembled, painted, reassembled, seam sealed. The box interior and underneath have single stage black urethane paint. The exterior sides are in epoxy primer no filler bodywork done yet. Tailgate is matching replacement. It is epoxy primed and is base/clear white matching cab.

Interior is nice. Replacement door panels and dash cap. New carpet. Seat is out of 1983 f250. I had a repair done to the divers side of seat were it had split. Been holding well for years and looks like stitching. Dash was painted base /clear matching cab. New glove box liner. Heater assembly completely taken apart cleaned and reinstalled with new blower motor. All wiring professionally refurbished, inside and out of truck. Everything works electric wise except for the dash amp meter, as that wiring was eliminated. All exterior lights work. Horn works. New door and window seals were purchased and some used. The remaining come with.

New front windshield new seal. Used rear glass with new seal. Door glass is all used as well.

Truck has a 1973 front grill. It’s in nice shape but not perfect. Front bumper is nice. Rear bumper is oversized dented and ugly.

This truck just needs the box, front fenders, doors, and hood painted. I can provide the white color code used on the cab. All the hard work is done. Save yourself from spending time and effort restoring rust, there isn’t any here.

This truck has been in its current state for a few years driven occasionally as a backup. I do live on gravel so the underneath dose have rock chips in the paint. I only used a small amount of undercoating in the box wheel wells.
