Please see the link above for over 200 full size photos that really tell the story of this truck's condition. This is a Southern truck (North Carolina) that has been driven only sparingly over the last 55 years.
This is a stunning F100 Survivor in amazing unrestored condition.
The paint is in great condition for its age and is very shiny as you can see in the photos. It does have imperfections related mostly to its age. The paint appears to be acrylic lacquer which was commonly used in those days. over the course of the last 55 years it has developed some "crazing" or "checking" (which is the appearance of small cracks in the paint). I found this difficult to photograph but have captured it in some of the photos the best that I can.
The interior is also very nice but some of the plastic "chrome" trim on the door panels has become brittle with age (see photos). I understand that this is typical for these trucks.
While the truck is beautiful it does have some age related imperfections and was built to 1968 quality control standards and capabilities. Again, the numerous photos tell the story.
The truck runs and drives although obviously it has hardly been driven over the last 55 years.
Please remember it is an old truck so you should be prepared to repair and maintain it as necessary.
There is no buy it now - I intend to let the auction run its course.
