Description:

1936 Ford 3W Coupe Stock Original Ford

This '36 Ford 3W Coupe was found in the back corner of a steel building in El Paso Texas a number of years ago. The plan was to build a 'killer' Hot Rod, just never got around to it. All Henry Ford steel Coupe, restored many years ago. The history of the Coupe is vague due to the owner having passed away. Stock height roof, not chopped for that traditional look. Stock hood with nice trim and it is a rumble seat car. Very nice original grille, original steel fenders front and rear. Fender show no splits, rear fenders have a minor steel rod repair on the inside of the bead. Both doors have patch panels, minor on driver's door, bottom portion of the door on the passenger side, but both done well. Don't see evidence of quarter patches or cowl patches. Floors are good. Original headlights, taillights and taillight stands. Original Ford steel gas tank. Very nice front and rear bumpers with bumper guards along with a rare front grille guard. Spyder caps and beauty rings at all four corners. Complete steel spare tire cover. Very straight Coupe!

The interior is sparse, no door panels, carpet or headliner, the bench seat is not original to the car. Stock '36 steering column, original dash but no gauges. Uncut steel dash with a very nice waterfall chrome trim in the dash center, original glove box door. Both doors have window regulators and door latch mechanisms. All correct 3W garnish mouldings are intact. Roll down rear window mechanism including the handle are present. Floors are uncut and show no rusted areas, very nice overall.

The Ford Flathead is not original and hasn't ran in many years. This Coupe will most likely become a Hot Rod or the Flatty could be rebuilt. Aluminum heads that are embossed FOG Made In USA. It has been converted to an Alternator. The photos pretty much tell the story of the Engine. Stock '36 radiator.

Original '36 chassis, unboxed, I-Beam front axle with unsplit wishbone, '40 Ford hydraulic brakes have been added to the front suspension. Original banjo rearend with stock radius rods also converted to '40 Ford hydraulic brakes.
