Vehicle Details1979 Ford F-150 4x4 has a 351m engine. Replaced the 2bbl carb with a brand new Edelbrock AVS2 4bbl and brand new Edelbrock Perfomer manifold. Truck runs great and has about 200 miles since this upgrade. Some new additions I have added since owning include- new fuel tank, sending unit, filler hose and cap, fuel pump, muffler and tail pipe, sound dampening mat, carpet, floor pans (welded in), door panels, Ford logo floor mats, brakes on all 4 wheels, chrome air cleaner, carb and manifold as mentioned, spark plugs, wires and distributor cap, battery, stereo and speakers. There are about 30 more small items I have added but won’t list them all. Every part has been new. It has been a fun project to work on but she is just sitting as I don’t have the time to do much anymore. I bought this from a friends family who were the second owners and they owned it for almost 30 years. I start it up about once a month just to hear her purr. She starts right up every time and runs beautifully. There is one rust spot you can see in the photos (other than the beautiful patina on the hood!) and it’s below the drivers door. Mechanically it runs and stops great. The only issue is when I’m third gear, with no torque, sometimes it will slide into neutral. Maybe a synchronizer issue. Other than that, runs and drives great!
