Owned since 2006 by the seller, this 1965 Mustang Fastback Restomod exemplifies the best of the classic Mustang Fastback looks with the added benefit of modern performance, reliability, safety and comfort.

This car will rock you down the street with 500 horsepower and still have the safety of modern disc brakes and cool Air Conditioning. This is the ultimate combination of modern performance, reliability, and safety while having one of the coolest looking cars out there!

This amazing car has been fitted with fiberglass bodywork, which was molded to the body before the car was refinished in blue with white stripes. A modified fuel-injected five-liter V8 was sourced from a Fox-body Mustang and installed along with a Super Powerdyne supercharger, a five-speed manual transmission, and a 9″ rear end with a limited-slip differential. The suspension has been modified, and four-wheel disc brakes have also been added along with aftermarket 17″ and 18″ wheels. The interior has been redone in beige and features a roll bar, bolstered bucket seats, Crow five-point harnesses, a custom console, a custom sound system with a Bluetooth stereo, AutoMeter gauges, and air conditioning. This modified Mustang is offered with a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

Exterior:

The car was fitted with fiberglass bodywork including the cowled hood and molded wheel arches, side skirts, front valance, and side scoops. Other features include a mesh grille, hood pins, LED headlights, tinted glass, and dual exhaust outlets that terminate under the rear bodywork, which has also been molded at the seams. The car has been finished in a Porsche-sourced blue with white stripes, including side stripes that read “5.0 SC”.

Wheels:

Gray-finished 17×8″ and 18×9″ aftermarket wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich front and Kumho rear tires. The power-assisted four-wheel disc-brake system utilizes four-piston front calipers.

Interior:

The interior was redone in beige, featuring bolstered bucket seats with Crow Enterprizes five-point harnesses for the driver and passenger, a matching roll bar, darker carpeting, a custom center console, and a cargo shelf with speakers in lieu of a rear seat. A Classic Air air-conditioning system has been installed along with LED under-seat lighting, a Bluetooth-capable Sony stereo, a 2000W five-channel amplifier, and a subwoofer in the trunk.

An NRG Innovations steering wheel sits ahead of a body-matching dashboard with a beige pad and gauge cluster. AutoMeter instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges, in addition to a FAST eEFI touchscreen digital dash module mounted under the dash. A boost controller and boost gauge are located ahead of the shifter. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 9k miles, although 15k miles have been added since 2006.

Engine:

The original engine was replaced by a modern 5.0/302ci V8 sourced from a Fox-body Mustang. It has been fully rebuilt by a professional engine builder. The engine was recently tuned, and the following equipment is utilized:

Power is delivered to the wheels through a five-speed T-5 manual transmission and a 9″ rear end with 28-spline axles, 3.50:1 gears, and a limited-slip differential. A Mustang Steve clutch cable has also been installed - making shifting super smooth.
