1966 Ford Galaxie 500 Blue RWD Automatic

**Bill of sale only, I never titled this car.**
This is a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 with an 8 cylinder 289 engine, automatic transmission with 90,273 or maybe 80,273 miles? Not sure because the numbers are in the middle, please check the pictures. I bought this car and have done work on it but I never registered it, it’s a New Hampshire vehicle. I will give you a bill of sale and a vin verification form through my local police department when I had them come inspect it. They sent a police officer to verify that the door tag vin matches the vin on the passenger side by the firewall. It does and he signed off saying it’s legitimate so you can use that to register it.
The car starts, runs, moves and stops but it needs work. Mostly a new carburetor since it’s the original autolite with tag. For it to stay running you have to keep the gas pedal pressed all the way down and it will run. I’ve already flushed the fuel line out from the gas tank and run gas to the carburetor after I rebuilt it but it’s tired and needs to be replaced. Or maybe you can rebuild it better to keep it original. I’ve never driven this on the street, I’ve just juggled repairs between multiple projects but I’ve driven it in my yard. I have videos of this car running good before the carburetor started acting up. Manual windows and locks, the headlights, taillight’s and turn signals work. The high beam switch on the floor works. The transmission felt ok shifting through the gears, not sure about the heater fan or controls. The heater core is bypassed because I couldn’t find one that fits in this firewall but the one it came with will be included. I replaced the carpeting because it was ridiculously worn out with a few holes in the floor needing to be patched but not enough to need floor pans and some areas by the rear wheels. I patched the holes, neutralized the rust which turns it black. I put sealant then laid down sound deadener/heat blocker (Kilmata like Dynamat) through the entire floor, up the back seat panel and the deck lid. I did up the sides some from the floor leading up the side panels.
The new carpet wasn’t a perfect fit so I had to cut it in some places but it’s way better. I planned to sit some type of console under the dash to cover some cuts with cup holders but didn’t find one yet. This car didn’t have front seat belts so I bought a new seat belt kit and installed those in the front when I put the carpet in, the backseat had seatbelts already. I ran new wires for the radio under the carpet from the dash to the deck lid and included amp wires just in case the new owner wanted to add something extra. Those aren’t connected but are in place, I was going to replace the radio but didn’t get to it. The radio turns on, the previous owner put an aftermarket radio in but it needs to be looked at and the dash pad alignment.
Under the car I did some patches and this is because the previous owner had already done some and wasn’t enough to me for a full pan. I sprayed rubberized sealer along the whole underside. The seats need to be upholstered and the dash is lifting with some wear. The headliner was missing so I bought a new Ivory color liner which I will include, you just have to install it. There was no deck lid when I got the car and no spare tire. I installed a new starter and a new starter solenoid. I will include a battery, it’s on the charger right now. It comes with a key for the ignition and a key for the trunk. I’ll give you the Galaxie key chain also.
The steering wheel was previously upgraded with the die shifter knob end, the steering is pretty smooth when driving. The trunk opens good as well as the hood but the edge of the water drain in the trunk has a little hole on the right, so water gets in some by the trunk seal. So there is a little rust in the trunk where water collects and does leak to the ground but that’s a quick patch job unless you want to replace the pan.
Please take a look at all of the pictures and read everything so you know what you’re getting. You will need to tow this because you need to rebuild the carb or replace it. The exhaust system looks good all the way through. The vacuum line that would lead to the manual choke from the transmission isn’t there, so I just left the flap open to get full air for now. You can add that metal vacuum line or replace it with an electric choke.
Rims are Cragar and are staggered chrome with some rust and pitting but they’re ok. The rear shocks are air and were put in previously, the exhaust system was repaired before I owned it. The air vent flaps under the dash open and close good. The FORD letters on the hood had some missing so I replaced them with a Preowned set.
Please check with whoever you need to speak to before you hit buy it now to secure the money to make this purchase. Ask any questions before you hit buy it now. Sold as is, no warranties. No you cannot drive it home. If you’re in Massachusetts you will need a notarized bill of sale from me to register this to get a title. I’ll help a carrier load the car if you pay for a shipper to come get it. I will add a picture of the inside of the trunk at a later time. Cash or direct bank transfer only, no checks or money orders due to scams.
