1967 Shelby GT 500 E Convertible, EWR Registry # 401. Mustang GT500E Convertibles are a bit more rare to find as most of them are Fastbacks. I have owned this Mustang for the past 3 years. Since I've owned it, it has had hundreds of hours and thousands upon thousands of dollars poured into it. The engine is a brand new built 390 FE Big Block High performance. It has all new internals. Very strong, healthy and sounds like a Beast. The 5 speed transmission is all new and the rear end is all new 9" with 3.73 gears. If I added it all up, it is around 50k that has been poured into it over the past 3 years.. the paint was done prior to my ownership. the paintmedium blue with white stripes and the paint is over 10 years old with multiple flaws as I have shown in pics, theconvertible top frame is good, but the material has a hole and a patch in the middle ( new top in the box included with car) .. there are spots around the flares that you would want to correct prior to paint. It has been my project in progress that has come a long way.. It is a very solid car, but If you want a show car, this may not be for you.. maybe look at other Eleanor cars..
