1962 Ford Falcon
A REAL HEAD TURNER! I drive this 1962 FORD FALCON CLUBWAGON up and down the coast of Northern San Diego...and get nothing but THUMBS UP. Don't buy this if you are looking to blend in and not talk to anyone. Everyone wants to talk to you about it! Let's face it...you just don't see these around. If you do see an early 60's first edition Ford Van, it is an Econoline solid side or a truck (both very cool too). In summary, this is a very solid, straight, and original example of this van. The paint is original and definitely has "patina". The general feedback is..."don't paint it" the blotchy patina Viking Blue has a very unique look of it's own, and they are only original once! However, if you want to paint...you are dealing with a super solid straight body! The Van starts right up with it's manual choke, and runs very well. Sounds cool too with a "Cherry Bomb" style muffler. Current California registration and even has the ORIGINAL BLACK CA PLATES!To be honest, if you want one of these and stand next to it...you will want to buy it. However, I will provide as much detail as possible >>>

- Upgraded Wheels and Tires...they fir super nice!
- Top of van is painted White
- Side Mouldings are in very nice shape. The white was repainted.
- All emblems are there...FORD, Falcon, Clubwagon
- Interior Wood Floor (simulated plank)
- White Beadboard Ceiling...turned out awesome
- Front Seats are super
- Stering Wheel Original
- The Floor, sidewalls, and engine cover have all been insulated with high density foil faced sound deadening material
Disclose items and "to do" items;
- Horn...works only occasionally
- Front window seal, while new...needs some silicone
- Bottom of interior door jambs have "quarter" size rust hole (very common)
- Rail around roof was removed, ground down and is part of the new white paint area (actually gives it a very cool smooth look)
- Carb seems to drip very slightly
- Trans ...well it is an old non-sync trans. Shifts about as smooth as they (don't) actually, you get very good at it...shift up fine, downshifting is tricky.
- Front end needs bushings on leaf springs (new ones come with sale)
- Rear hitch while done very well is not stock
- Chrome Wheels have slight bits of rust spots
- Steering wheel chrome has some pits
- No spare tire or jack set up in it
- Radio missing...hole was modified. Was planning to put an old 70's Pioneer Super Tuner 8 Track Player in it!
- Original Repair Manuals (and they are DETAILED!!)
