This is simply a clean, presentable, driver quality, original coupe that can be taken to the show, driven to work or the store while stopping at the ice cream store for the kids/grandkids. It is by no means a show car but will hold its' own at any show for simply being what it is, a fun old car. Very original in all respects this 38 starts, runs, drives and stops as it should. Paint is fair, interior a little tired but all very usable and certainly could be taken to the next level if desired. Most everything seems to work as intended and the all important vin number on the Mass title matches the visible unmodified vin number on the frame. An important point to mention is that less than 1000 miles ago over $9k was spent on this car in a well known and respected shop in CT. At this time the engine was completely rebuilt replacing virtually everything in the engine including valve seats for todays' fuel along with adjustable lifters, an Isky cam and the installation of a full flow oil filter system. At the same time generator, starter and carburetor were rebuilt. Radiator was cleaned and rodded, water pumps were replaced, flywheel was machined and a new clutch was added. Transmission and rear axle were serviced with new gear oil added, wheel bearings packed, brakes adjusted along with a few other items. I have copies of the receipts documenting this which will be supplied to the new owner. There is no radio or heater supplied but an original antenna is in place along with a A-pillar spotlight should the new owner plan to run shine in the huge trunk. As always, no test pilots and trades are not desired but will be considered if accompanied by cash.
