1952 Ford Other Pickups

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!!

The stories this 1952 Ford F2 could tell! I found it in Red Lodge, Montana and after cleaning it up, I believe it may have been used in the Yellowstone National Park. It was purchased new by the National Forest Service and still wears some of its original signage. Someone painted over the Forest Service logo, but you can see it where the paint has worn off and you can still clearly read the iconic, "Prevent Forest Fires" text on the tailgate. Talk about cool history!

So, this truck is definitely a project, but it's solid and would be a great starting point. There's some rust, specifically a spot on the passenger cab corner and a couple of spots on the fenders. Overall, it's very solid, with good floors and doors. It will need new wood in the bed, but wood kits are available to replace it. This would be a good truck to fully restore, turn into a hot/rat rod or simply get driving to enjoy as is. The worn off paint gives it a striking look. If you're on the hunt for the perfect patina, this could be the truck for you!

The 215 cid inline six is still under the hood, but I haven't started it and can't confirm whether it's the original or not. It does turn over nicely but doesn't seem to be getting a spark. The 215 OHV is a good engine and shares many parts with Ford's Y-block, so finding parts for it should be fairly simple. The body tag shows that this engine was rated for 91 horsepower at 3,400 rpm. It's paired to a 4-speed transmission and a 4.86 rear end. Since I haven't been able to start or drive it, I can't really say what condition the rest of the drivetrain is in, but the transmission shifts through the gears and it rolls.

I did install a new set of radial tires and Ford center caps, so it's easier to move around and load onto a trailer. The new caps look great and really brighten the truck up.

The interior is going to need some work, but it's complete. The seats have homemade covers on them with a pad underneath that get the job done. The original upholstery is damaged and should probably be redone to make this a comfortable place to sit for longer periods of time. All of the major components are present though and could likely be reused.

Overall, this is a solid project that could prove to be a fun truck to have. It definitely needs work though so I'm selling it as is. Obviously, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Also, I can help arrange worldwide shipping. I work with many good transporters and all major ports. I have transport companies that will charge .85 cents per mile plus tolls anywhere in the lower 48.

Feel free to contact me at anytime for any questions you may have.

I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
