1970 Ford Mustang Fastback Restomod

Mustang fans, this is how you do it right. Take the best-looking Mustang of them all, paint it metallic silver, give it a burly 408-inch stroker motor and a 5-speed transmission, then go have some fun. Showing only light signs of use since it was finished, this is an extremely high-quality resto-mod that's ready to cruise or show at almost any level. It's hard to tell from photos, but this is one of those rare cars that's... even nicer in person than it looks. Thousands of dollars are wrapped up in the paint job alone and it shows. That gorgeous silver paint is just the right shade and the bodywork is excellent in every way. It's not perfect, but man, this car sure gets some attention here in the showroom. The 1970 sportsroof was arguably the best-looking Mustang of all time, and with upgrades like the cowl-induction hood, chin spoiler, window slats, and rear wing, it certainly looks the part of a high-performance pony. The blacked out look with satin black stripes and a matching grille give it a traditional yet modern look, and we especially like the way the stripes wrap around every bit of the car. Chrome bumpers sparkle against the bright silver paint and most of the stainless trim was polished up to look like chrome. This is a really impressive car! The interior has been fully restored to stock specs as well, complete with black Comfort-Weave buckets and a fold-down rear seat for practicality. Looking inside, you'd be hard-pressed to see any of the modifications, and it looks quite stock save for the slightly smaller wood-rimmed steering wheel. This is a factory A/C car, so the system was retained and upgraded with modern hardware and you'll note there are five gears showing on the shift knob. Trick Dakota Digital gauges light up when you turn the key and have an adjustable background color so you can custom tailor it to suit. An fantastic Kenwood touchscreen entertainment system has Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and even a back-up camera. There are Mustang-logo rubber floor mats to protect the carpets and the trunk is correctly finished with black carpets and a spare tire with matching cover. The engine is a 408 cubic inch Windsor V8, which is one heck of a torque factory (how about 468 horsepower and 568 pounds of torque at the rear wheels?). It looks intimidating under the hood, with Ford Performance dress-up and a no-nonsense look. Upgrades include a FAST fuel injection system, Edelbrock intake manifold, MSD ignition system, and a bigger Comp Cams camshaft to give it a bit of a lope at idle. The engine bay is nicely detailed with lots of trick features as well as upgrades like the big aluminum radiator and serpentine belt drive system. Long-tube headers and a custom exhaust system with X-pipe give it a spectacular sound and handling is bolstered with Koni Red shocks, new bushings, and traction bars for the rear end. The suspension was lowered to give it just the right stance and those polished Torque Thrust wheels look fantastic with staggered 245/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. Beautifully built and ferociously fast, this is a car that nails the resto-mod movement: stock looks, improved performance, and lots of comfort. Call today!
