1957 Ford Fairlane Retractable

You are looking at a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner Retractable. This car is a true barn find that had been stored inside for over 30 years! The car runs good and moves but there are no brakes from sitting so long. The top actually works and here is a link to some videos of it going up and down! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vofmc3bsuc22cwl/AAB7vnBzdIG6Ch_3lp7ZyTP_a?dl=0Having a top that works is a huge bonus!!!!!

This car is a 292 2v motor with an automatic transmission, it does run good but I am running it off a gas can under the hood. I didn't try running it off the tank I figured it was probably rusty inside the tank and would plug the filter. I installed a new water pump on it the original one was leaking. The tranny also works but it does leak. It has Power Steering & Power Brakes.

The car is a very solid car, there is no rust in the trunk area, all the body panels are in very good shape. The front floors have a little rust as you can see in the pictures but this would be a pretty easy repair. For a 60 year old car I would consider this to be in very good condition. All the glass is good, all the tires hold air. It is 99% complete. The only thing I can think of that is missing is the carpet which I removed to see how the floors looked.

This is a very cool car that would be a great one to restore or fix a few things on it and drive it as is!

There is a clear title.

A $500 non refundable deposit thru PayPal is due with 24 hours of the auctions end and the rest is due within 7 days. I would prefer cash at the time of pickup but a wire transfer is fine also. I will accept a cashiers check but the car doesn't leave until it has cleared the bank.

I would like the car picked up with 14 days but I understand working with trucking companies sometimes takes longer. The car will be kept inside until it is picked up.

Please ask any and all questions. Thank-you, Jeff
