Factory built Mustang. Marti Report verified and only 1 of 3046 total built in 1968 with this color and trim codes. Part of Ford's West Coast promotion between 1968-1969 Rainbow of Colors. 13 special factory colors, representing the rainbow were built.

This is a factory V8 289 in her original Hot Pink paint (repainted prior to 2011), black side stripes and black leather interior. Car was originally built as a manual but was rebuilt as an automatic. This car starts right up, idles smooth, and whips down the road like the American muscle it is. The body is clean with NO rust. It's very fun to drive and people get into accidents checking it out as you cruise around town.

Built in San Jose, CA and was used as a show car for 40 years. When the first owner decided to sell to a private car seller. I bought the car after they had rebuilt the transmission (2011). It was hauled across the US and has been in Virginia for the last 5 years. The car has been stored in a garage since bought in 2011 and drove recreationally. Disc brake conversion was completed in 2014 and transmission/carburetor were rebuilt in 2015.

Engine

Odometer reads around 98K now. No way of knowing if that's the original mileage.

The engine bay, inside, and underneath are all very clean. Inside the trunk is no different with nice painted trunk floors and a replication liner. The car has disc brakes and it stops beautifully.

Interior

All interior is intact and nice. All interior panels are nice. Interior is complete and not missing anything.

Glass

All glass is in great shape. Windows roll up and down very nicely.

Body and Paint

This car was originally Hot Pink. The body of the car is very straight. The frame rails are solid, clean, and have no rust. The car was repainted before 2011. It has chips here and there on the hood and the doors.

Car has the door tag and VIN tag under the passenger windshield on the dash which is the legal VIN for 1968.

The remainder is due within 7 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise.

Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, I will gladly cooperate.
