Description:

1965 Ford Mustang standard

OK, what you have here is a very very rare 1965 Mustang fastback K code mustang. I have 2 and this is the first one I am going to sell, (actually I have 4 K codes, but two are 1967 shelbys. Oh well.. Ha ha.

This car is potentially the best car I have seen in a long long time, I have owned it nearly 20 years and its been garaged that entire time, that is why it is so clean rust wise. The car still has its original panels on it floors and everything, rails, towers torque boxes all are excellent condition.

The car still has its original driveline, that means is is about 100% numbers matching! I will post the pictures I have but I know they aren't great because I could not move the car out of the garage when I took the pics, but rely on this, the fenders and hood are not original to the car but they are inexcellent condition as are the floors (again0) and the doors and the rear quarters. Maybe the car would need the rear quarter patch panels, but that is about all. I also took pictures of the trunk floors which do show some deterioration but I don't think they need replacement either.

You will see the engine is freshly rebuilt, that's not repainted guys (girls). it is an original car with Ivy Green exterior and interior.. What is missing right now is the drivers seat (I can get one for $50 bucks or less if you want one.. probably.. and I know the engine does not have the unique parts such as the motor mounts, exhaust manifolds, and dual point distributor. but that is about it. The engine alone has gotta be worth north of 10k, and I base that on the idea that recently I was looking for another K engine and the best price I was able to find was a 1966 K code complete engine and the guy wanted $7500 firm. again this engine is ready to drop in. I have a Ford Dual plane intake manifold (aluminum) on the engine now and that is not correct.I would like to keep the intake but if you want it, its not that big of a deal really I guess.

Car was never raced, and has no modifications that would reflect that (like tow tabs, or other welding, reinforcements, etc.)

I do know that car is in the K code registry book, (4th and finaledition).. I will tell you if there was an easy restoration on a 50 plus year old car, this is it.. I also believe the car had one repaint but I bet you if someone wanted to shine the paint, it would still shine. (but again its only green doors back!).

You will see my add says no reserve and to read this long add. WHY?? well here is the deal. The car was or is sold for $24k to a guy I wanted to make friends with because he is in the Mustang restoration business and he said he might be interestedin other Mustangs that I have. But, what happened is last Thursday I told him he can pick up the car anytime after July 9th, and I asked for a depositbecause I need the funds. I believe (and no doubt he may read this add) that I was ignored.. I don't do business that way and would never haveignored my request.

So, do I believe if this auction fails, that the car is sold, yes absolutely..100%!! But if you want to buy this car you will do the following..:

1. Pick up the phone and call me. 551-204-0707. Call me and be prepared to offer your best offer at or above $24,000.

2. You will find a way (by bank wire) to pay me before the week is over.

3. If you cant do #1 and #2, please don't bother me, sorry. That means for anyone who isn't sitting with the funds, that you have today (Monday), Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to do the banking transfer.

Lastly, I would like to say while I have 100% positive feedback... and you can trust that. if you have any un-satisfaction with the car once you receive it, I can guarantee your money back once the car is back in my garage.

Any questions, you can call me too. I believe option wise, this car was pretty bare, meaning I believe the only option the car had factory was a console, which is no longer there. but it still has what gets the point across theHIPO 289/271 Horsepower, the close ratio top loader transmissionand the 9 inch rear with 3.5 open gears!. if I were looking for something negative about the car, it would probably be my comments that I don't love the ivy green interior color, and id change it over to black if I were restoring her..

Thank you!!!! Again, while I will start the auction at 1.00, I really don't care to see that, I am looking for the person who wants to own this very very very (cant say very enough) special and fast classic Mustang. You arebuying a Mustang that is in almost every way a 1965 Shelby and I hope I don't have to tell you what they cost!! LMAO. Lastly, I will make a comment about these great little engines. As I said earlier, I own a 67 gt350. now that car is sporting its original engine rebuilt in 1985.. why am I mentioning it, well I have a guy we will call afriend who has a 67 500 car. My 289 hipo is faster than his 428 PI! And id race him any time but he wants no part of my car!!Now my brother calls his car thegas chamber I hear and doesn't think my car could out run his buddies, but I know it can. that is this same engine as this car has, similar tranny and a 411 rear stock! (in my Shelby). Thanks for listening!!!
