1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 for consideration. This Mach features a strong running 351ci V8 engine and is paired with a strong and smooth shifting automatic transmission. The red exterior paint is not original, but in fair condition and pairs extremely well with the black interior. According to the owner, the interior has been refinished; the seats appear to be reupholstered along with the dash, carpet, and headliner. This Pony has been... left original mechanically other than a few tasteful upgrades which include; duraspark ignition system, aftermarket headers and an aftermarket exhaust system to give it a nice aggressive rumble. The current owner has provided us with a large binder of receipts for parts and service over the life of this Mach. Please call or email us today for more information. The Mach 1 title adorned performance oriented Mustang offerings until the original retirement of the moniker in 1978. As part of a Ford heritage program, the Mach 1 package returned in 2003 as a high-performance version of the New Edge platform. Visual connections to the 1969 model were integrated into the design to pay homage to the original. This generation of the Mach 1 was discontinued after the 2004 model year, with the introduction of the fifth-generation Mustang. With the title "Mach 1" comes the expectation of performance. This breed of pony was built to leave everyone else at the start line. The Mach 1 was not only aggressive in performance but also looks and stance. It came with upgraded suspension varying on the choice of power train. The Mach 1 was so successful in 1969 that it led to the discontinue of the GT.
