1963 Ford Fairlane Basic

Garage find 1963 Ford Fairlane 500. Just in time for local show season and cruise nights. This is a rad daily driver. Body is overall straight with a few bumps and bruises. Never wrecked. The powder blue was painted over the original pale blue many years ago and shows lots of flaking and wear through. It's an honest car. Small rust spot in front lower fenders. SOLID rockers, quarters and trunk. Front floor has an older patch job under carpet. Low mileage 6 cylinder engine doesnt burn oil and runs like a sewing machine. NEW: Distributor, Coil, voltage regulator, plugs, wires, oil and filter. Stock exhaust is as quiet as a mouse. 3 speed manual trans with old floor shifter conversion shifts like it should. NEW driveline with u-joints. Ford 8" rear axle with highway gears. Fuel tank has been cleaned, NEW gas gauge sending unit, fuel lines and fuel pump. ALL NEW brakes: Master, 4 drums, 4 wheel cylinders, brake hoses and compete hardware kits. Wheels are stock 14" powdercoated white with rare aftermarket hubcaps and NEW radial white walls. The Fairlane is lower via cut front springs and lowering blocks in the rear with all new hardware and short shocks. There is a custom rear bump stop to keep the driveline from rubbing the tunnel. Front end tracks nice. All glass is in o.k. shape but with some scratches. Windows roll up and down easily. Front bumper has nice chrome with a close to flawless grill. Rear bumper is Rough. All running lights, brake and turn signals work great. Turn, gen, oil lights function properly. Dash lights, wipers, heater motor do NOT work currently. Interior is an older redo with gray velour...there is some dry splitting but it's really comfy and usable. No headliner. Carpet is a DIY job and looks good. 4 NEW seatbelts. Dash is original and uncut. Restored original black plates and dealer frames. This Fairlane is a great driver with room to improve and personalize...all the hard work is done. If you've never had a low ride...without airbags...dont bid. Please contact me with any questions.
