1963 Ford Fairlane
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE BIDDING AND ASKING QUESTIONS!!!
I have a 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 for sale. THIS IS A PROJECT CAR that I bought in 2019 with the hopes of getting it roadworthy in 2020. COVID dashed those dreams away and I never got a chance to finish. I got the car Not Running but it does run now. This car has a "5 bolt" 289 Cu. In. engine and I found out through the VIN that it's not the original engine.
Basically how you see it in the pictures is how I got it but I did some repairs trying to get it ready:
New Brake Lines (stainless steel and rubber hoses)
New Fuel Lines (Complete)
New Fuel Tank and Sender (New Tank Straps)
New Brakes All Around (Includes Drums, Wheel Cylinders, Brake Shoes and Hardware Kit)
New Master Cylinder
New Vacuum Brake Booster
New Wheel Spacers (Car came with a set of 17" Mustang Wheels from a 2000 - 2004 Mustang)
Tires (for the mustang wheels)
4 Barrel Carb and Edlebrock Performer Instake
New HEI Ignition Distributor and High Output Coil with Ignition Wires
New Spark Plugs
New Inline Fuel Pressure Gauge and Fuel Filter
New One Wire Alternator and Fan Belt
New StarterNew Oil PanNew Headers
2.5" Universal Exhaust with Flow Master 40 Series Mufflers
New Hi Flow Mechanical Fuel Pump
New Window Weatherstrips (Not Installed)
(Note: All the parts above were replaced about 3 years ago)
%%%%% THIS IS A PROJECT CAR!! IT'S NOT COMPLETED!!! %%%%%
The car does run but it's not done.
Carburetor has to be adjusted or tuned.
Wheel Alignment is off!!
I patched some of the holes on the floor boards temporarily with fiber glass to keep any water from coming in. Floors should be redone.Bumpers are pitted and rusty but complete.
Body is Not Perfect but it's complete.
Interior needs to be redone.
Transmission cooler lines are looped (not connected to radiator)Heater core leaks (Bypassed)Dash Gauges are not accurate (Ground or Power Problem??)Waterleak by the Dash or Windshield area. (Easy Fix!!)
This is still a project car but with a little love, it could be ready to be driven!! I never got a chance to drive it!
I'm selling this "As-Is" so please understand that before you make a Bid!!
Shipping and Pickup is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!
There is No Title for this car, Just A Transferable Registration (Too old in NY for a Title)
Once the payment is cleared then I'll release the car to your transporter or you can pay in person if you're picking it up!!
Please Read All The Info Above and ask questions about anything I might have missed, Just Please Don't Waste My Time and I won't Waste Yours!!
Thank You and Have A Great Day.
