1959 Ford F600 Custom Cab

General – Hi there, I am listing this truck for a friend, however I know almost as much about it as he, so you may ask questions of me.The truck is an awesome survivor 1959 Ford F-600. that has a great stance and presence and would make an exceptional project.Any more people are making show winning drivers, tow rigs, shop trucks and advertisement platforms out of these wonderful back in the day vehicles. It is an interesting candidate for either restoration or to hot rod, and with very little work can be driven while you work on it. The truck has a clear Montana title. It has always been in the same family (father, son, and grandson), has 12,661 miles, (see picture) and rarely ventured out of Butte, and Silverbow County, Montana.

Exterior - The best part about this truck is there is there is very little rust, confined mostly to the trailing edge of the fenders, (see pictures) as is the case with most of this vintage, it is flat sheet metal and an easy fix.We are very dry here in Montana, classified as a high-country desert and we use no salt in the winter. The cab corners are great (see pictures). The floorboards are solid, (see pictures). No matter whether restoration or hot rod is your goal you are money and time ahead by starting with as solid and rust fee vehicle as you can possibly find.It does however have 58 years of dents, dings and what some people today call patina. This truck was a flatbed, and now is a cab and chassis, so you can make it into whatever. It measures 10 feet from the back of the cab to the end of the frame. The running boards which are usually beat up or missing altogether and are difficult to find are in great shape on this truck.

Not sure if the glass is exterior or interior. The windshield, one side, and rear are crack free, one side glass is cracked. The tires are pretty much what you would expect for an old high-country truck that has sat outside most of its life. They are all up and would last long enough to move it around while you work on the truck

Mechanical - The engine, which is original to the truck, I believe, is a 292, I was told it does run by drizzling gas into the carburetor. As most of these old trucks, the tank should be cleaned, before you attempt to run it off the tank. The transmission is a four speed, with two speed rear and it goes into each gear and clutch feels alright. The brakes will need some attention as the pedal does not have any pressure behind it.

Interior – Not much to talk about here, (see pictures). All gages are present and no one has cut the dash or doors for an 8 track or whatever. The interior of this truck is like a time capsule., if you are going for an original restoration - clean it, sand it and paint it.If you are going for a hot rod you probably have your own thoughts as to what you want to do. If you are going to use it for work, leave it alone.

Summary – The simplicity of a truck is what makes their restoration so popular and easy. This one would make a great project for a father and son/daughter or the guys in the shop. The main point is you have a very solid body and clear title to work with. The old truck deserves another chance in life to tow your toys, haul your stuff and or show up at your local car show.

Payment, Disclaimers, Storage, and Transportation -We require a nonrefundable deposit of $500.00 within 48 hours and the remainder prior to me sending you the title.Well I have tried to represent the truck as honestly and accurately as I can; please look closely at the pictures.Make no mistake it is not currently a roadworthy vehicle, rather it is a project for restoration or hot rod.The truck is sold as is, where is, and with no guarantee nor warrantee implied or specified. If you have less than 10 feedback, please contact me so I can determine your sincerity and ability to pay.I am very proud of my 100% rating and will answer all questions.I will post some of them so that others may benefit. The truck is stored in a secure compound, and can remain so as long as you want, as long as you pay the rent of $30 per month.I will help you with shipping in any way I can. Also, you should make sure you advise your shipper that the truck does not currently run on its own. Good luck with your bidding and thank you for your interest.
