NICE F-100 W/ MUSTANG DRIVETRAIN, 302CI MOTOR, 5 SPEED TRANS, LOTS OF FUN!
1963 Ford F-100
We sell a lot of trucks that fall into the category of "nice old pickup." But this 1963 Ford F-100 offers more than that, t's a hauler with a street rodder's touch, nicely upgraded truck with the heart of a Mustang, odern conveniences, nd impressive build quality. So yes, his one definitely stands out.At a glance, his is a nicely restored Ford F-100, hich it is. The white paint isn't flashy but the finish quality makes it stand out, ostly because old haulers aren't supposed to look this good. Ford built in some cool details into the F-100, ith dramatic sheetmetal that gives you a lot to look at without being too obvious about it and someone spent a lot of time getting it straight and clean. The edge of the hood that trails into the doors is razor sharp, he flares around the rear wheels are crisply defined, nd the tailgate is nicely detailed with big FORD letters on its face. White paint highlights all these features and it has a great shine that'll make you think twice about using it as a truck. The bright chrome bumpers wear fresh plating that glitters against the white paint and the bed wears a spray-in bedliner and comes with a full-sized spare tire.Originally, his truck was built to work, o the interior was basic and low-maintenance, ut it's here where you'll see the biggest changes. The red vinyl bench seat looks new and is comfortable enough for all-day cruising. The dash and door panels have been painted to match, iving it a very stylish look that's better than anything Ford had in mind when the truck was built. Black carpets anchor the interior and keep it from being red overload and the carpets help control noise and heat. There's a tilt steering column with a wood-rimmed steering wheel and that curving Hurst shifter is linked to a T5 5-speed manual gearbox. Cool, ight? The dash is full of Dakota Digital gauges that fit neatly in the original gauge pods and there's an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo head unit right where the original AM radio might have lived. Have a look behind the seat and you'll find the original gas tank has been transformed into a speaker housing, neat trick all by itself. See what I mean about this truck being a bit more than the same-old, ame-old?A 5.0 Mustang gave up its engine to make this truck work, nd the stout 302 cubic inch V8 makes it feel muscular in a way that its industrial-strength original motor never could. The engine bay was painted with the rest of the body, o it's clean and bright and the V8 looks tidy with its finned valve covers and chrome air cleaner. A 4-barrel QuickFuel carburetor uses an Edelbrock intake to feed the engine and an MSD ignition system lights it up. The same Mustang donated its serpentine belt drive and accessories, nd there's a big aluminum radiator with dual electric fans up front. Long-tube headers feed a rumbling dual exhaust and there are power front disc brakes for safety. The stance is pretty stock, hich is also part of this truck's appeal, itting on painted steelies with hubcaps, rim rings, lus fat 235/75/15 Yokohama truck radials to make it look right. There's a lot more than meets the eye here, nd while this Ford works well as a truck, t also works pretty well as a muscle car.
