1928 Ford Model A

Up for sale, 1928 Ford Model A hot rod/rat rod, known as "The Gimp"
This truck was built in 2011/2012 and was built to drive, race and enjoy. Despite it's "rat rod" look, it is anything but in terms of it's construction. All fabrication work is high quality, it is no back yard build. All engineering was well thought out with driveability, safety and reliability in mind. All of which was performed by professional car builders, welders and fabricators, not Joe-Bob in the back yard with a drop light under a tarp.
-Unchopped A cab.
-Shortened A bed.
-New wood top kit
-Boxed A frame with X member and driveline hoop.
-Very strong, recently rebuilt chevy 350, gear drive, blower cam, ARP head studs, roller rockers.
-Rebuilt turbo 350 with shift kit, quicksilver shifter.
-New Walker radiator
-9" rear end, 3.50 gears.
-Coil over rear suspension, custom ladder bars.
- Drilled 36 front axle with new F100 brakes.
-Mustang non-power steering box.
This truck is turn key (or push-button in this case) and ready to drive or race. It is well built, runs and drives down the road as it should. It drives nicely and tracks straight, stops well, etc. not like most "rat rods" these guys are building. Honestly, this truck was never meant to be a rat rod, and truthfully it's not. It simply gets called that because of it's lack of paint and it's patina. If that's your gig, here ya go.
It is also FAST, it's a toy, but it's no little kid toy, this is a serious piece of machinery. It is ready to drive or race as it sits now. It was raced at Riverdale Raceway as soon as it was completed, making something like 27 passes that day. It has done very little since then, occasionally driven to local shows, things like that.
Clear title, it is titled properly, as a 1928 Model A.
