This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 R Code features a true 428 CJ Ram Air Mach 1 R Code engine. It is backed by a Top Loader close ratio 4-speed and Traction-Lok rear axle. Only 1,371 were produced with this engine and transmission combination. The bright Calypso Coral color really matches this car's integrity and desirability and makes it even more rare. Only 1,003 1970 Mach 1s have these paint and trim codes. Features added include power steering, power disc brakes, front air foil, rear deck spoiler, rear window slats, Magnum 500 wheels and tilt steering. This is a very early 1970 model built in September of 1969. It has all original sheet metal and runs and drives very well. The date code on the engine block is May, 1969 and the car was built in September, 1969.
