1973 Ford F-100

1973 Ford F-100 SWB Ranger. I bought the truck several years ago at the Houston Mecum auction but it had an Oklahoma title. Now it has a clear Texas title, new tags, and classic plates. When I bought it, the truck had a tired 302 and was a three on the tree. Recently I had a fresh 429 with Thunderjet heads and Iskey cam installed along with a C6 transmission. It's a beast and turns heads everywhere I go. I modified the old shifter to work with the transmission but there is no gear indicator. I like that it looks like a three on the tree but is missing the clunky shifting that comes with it. If you can count, it is easy to drive. To keep it cool in traffic I installed a new 4 core aluminum radiator with dual fans. It is a huge improvement over the stock radiator. The spark is powered by a new HEI distributor. To keep the "one wheel peel" away, I put a new 31 spline torque worm LSD Posi in the existing Ford 9". The gas tank looks new but was installed when I bought the truck. I did pull it and make sure there were no issues inside. Looks brand new. There is aluminum diamond plate in the bed, an awesome red interior with billet steering wheel, and 15" black steelies with chrome beauty rings. Tires all have good tread, almost new, but front and rears aren't the same brand. If I was keeping the truck I think a set of Detroit Steel 20's would look awesome. The truck is lowered using the correct parts, lowered I-beams, etc.
I just had the king pins replaced and front end rebuilt. Anyone who has done this job will appreciate how much work that is. Because of this and the big block install, the truck needs an alignment. I will have that done before the auction ends. The paint is clear coated patina. I love it but some don't understand the concept of letting the truck keep the patina it has earned. It does have a good base if you wanted to paint it. A few dings and dents but nothing that can't be straightened. Only surface rust on the body panels. Both floor pans have been replaced but that was done before I bought the truck.
No radio currently because I like listening to the big blocks cam lope. I have the seat belts new in the box but I haven't put them in.I'm selling the truck to put money into a '66 Lincoln project, if you are wondering. Otherwise I would keep driving it and making improvements.I also have a March billet serpentine setup that will make power steering and A/C conversion much easier. It comes with everything pictured and is included with the truck. That was the next step but now it's gotta go.If it's important I could probably dig up receipts for all of the parts and one shop did all of the labor so I know I can get that receipt. I'm sure I'm forgetting some things so I will update the description as I remember. If there are specific pictures you want just ask and I will take them as soon as possible.I will help as much as possible with getting the truck to you. By this I mean I will deliver it to a local shipper, meet you in the area, etc. I will not call shippers to ask for quotes or pay shipping in advance. The zip it is shipping from is 77379.One viewer asked for pics of the cab mounts and the bottom of the doors. I have uploaded those so everyone can see. Both door have only surface rust. It was the first time I looked under them and was pretty impressed. Also, all of the cab mounts are solid, with only surface rust, as you can see in the pics.
