1965 Ford F250 Pick-up
Up for your consideration is this very cool 1965 Ford F250. This truck is a great example of a time capsule ... all the way down to the original split wheel rims. According to the previous owner this truck started out as a Utah Transit Authority (UTA) light duty service vehicle back in 1965. As a state service vehicle it was very well maintained and appears to have been well cared for cosmetically based on the greatcondition of the sheet metal. As you can see in the photos the body is in overall great shape. The color it wore during it's service years was yellow as seen in some of the photos. I'm not sure whenthe repaint took place but I love the aqua / teal color it's wearing now. I get thumbs up from young and old anytime I take it out for a spin.
The truck runs and drives really well. The odometer shows 09,265 andthe previous owner believes it rolled over once. 109,265 is believed to be the actual mileage but there's no way to verify. I've had it out on the freeway several times at 65-70 mph and it rolls right along just fine. The 352 V8 runs smooth and strong as it should. The previous owner installed a new camshaft, new head gaskets, new fuel pump, and rebuilt the carburetor. I don't know the specs on the cam but he mentioned it was an "RV" cam. There's plenty of power and torque to spare. The manual 4 Speed transmission shifts great through all gears. I have a nearly new set of All-Season Radials that I was going to have on the truck before taking thephotos this weekend but I didn't get to it. I am having the new tires installed tomorrow morning.
The interior and dash is in really good shape as seen in the photos. All lights andgauges work as they should. All glass is in beautiful shape with no cracks.
Both the driver's and passenger's side floorpans have been replaced with LMC Truck OEM style floorpans. The rocker panels, on both sides, are in great shape as well. Overall this truck is incredibly solid with the exception of the bed floor that has some rust. The previous owner statedthat there was some type of bed covering, or bed mat, that was in the bed for many years which probably trapped moisture that led to the rust issue. All body panels appear to be original to the truck and are very straight and have great gaps all the way around. Other than the paint is beginning to flake/peel in a fewsmall areas the exterior is clean and straight.
I do my best to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible. I'm a believer in the old saying "a picture is worth a thousand words", so, if there's something you wantto see that isn't in the pictures please let me know and I can take the photo youwant and email it to you. Keep in mind that this is a 61 year old truck that is driver quality and not a Barrett Jackson "show truck". It's a perfect candidate for a full "back to original" restoration to be a "show truck" or it could be driven and enjoyed for years to come just as it is now. It would also make a great promotional shop truck for a business. Anyway, you get the idea, there's lots that can be done with it and it'd be cool no matter what you chose to do.
Please ask any questions prior to bidding and have funds in place. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime for any reason. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements and costs but I am more than happy to help on my end to make sure all goes smoothly with your shipper. Although the truck runs and drives great it is 61 years old, that being said I recommend having the car shipped as opposed to flying in and driving it any great distance. Truck isbeing sold AS IS with no warranties expressed or implied. I am willing to end the auction early if a fair price is agreed upon by both me and the buyer. NOLOWBALLERS !! I'm motivated to sell the car, but not desperate. The reserve is set very fair. I'm willing to talk with serious buyers on the phone ... simply email me your phone number and I will give you a call. The winning bidder is required to pay the $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Again, please ask any questionsbefore bidding.
Good Luck !!
