When it comes to hardware, few cars have achieved these types of upgrades. The goal of this car was to achieve excellent all around performance and drive like a modern car. A TREMENDOUS amount of $ was spent to achieve this.
The body is in good condition with nice, solid panels. The quarter panels, doors, floors, torque boxes and trunk are in good condition with no visible signs of rust. The panel alignment is good with easy closing doors. The paint was an amateur job but presents fine.
Inside the interior has been treated to Super Comfortable Recaro Style Seats. They mount lower and slightly further back making this an excellent choice for taller drivers. The door panels, dash pad, carpet, dash bezel and headliner were replaced with quality reproduction components. The steering wheel is a high quality Corso Feroce that looks and feels extremely nice. The windows have been converted to power with soft touch controls and they work nicely.
The beauty of this car just gets better the deeper you look though. Under the hood lives a rare motor in the stroker world. The 408 Cubic Inch Mill is actually a Cleveland, not a Windsor. The block is a 4-Bolt unit stuffed with a Forged Steel Crank from Extreme Racing, Probe H-Beam Rods, Probe Forged Pistons, Zero Gap Rings, Coated Bearings, Windage Tray, High Capacity Oil Pan and a Hydraulic Roller Cam. Topping that is a set of Trick Flow CNC Ported Cylinder Heads, Performer RPM Air Gap Intake Manifold and a Full Roller Valve Train. A compliment of MSD Ignition components keeps it all lit. The engine runs excellent and sounds tremendous.
The transmission is a Lentech Street Terminator Automatic Overdrive. The street terminators use the standard automatic shift pattern with an electric overdrive on/off switch. The shifts are crisp but not abusive. These are among the best known and toughest units in the business.
The rear end is a bullet-proof 9” unit with a Traction-Loc carrier and 3.70 Gearing. With this ratio you have excellent low end and thanks to the .68 ratio overdrive your final effective ratio works out to 2.51 so your cruising RPM’s at 70 would be around 1900 rpm.
The front suspension is from RRS in Australia. These are extremely well made parts and are quite expensive, but you do get what you pay for. The kit uses an adjustable coil over system eliminating the factory upper control arms and heavy springs. They offer a lot better alignment specs that really make a difference on the road and the track. The steering has been upgraded with a Power Rack & Pinion from Randall’s Racks. This is one of the tightest turning Rack & Pinions available.
The braking has been upgraded with 4-Wheel Power Disc Braking. This stops the car quickly and reliably from speed. This is a huge improvement over stock and really gives you peace of mind on the road.
