This car was built 20+ years ago, and then unfortunately the builder/owner passed away when the car only had about 100 miles on it. The car was then stored away and forgotten about. It recently was brought back to life, and is a running and driving car, and everything works. This car has working hi/lo beam headlights / brake lights / running lights / emergency flashers / turn signals with indicators / horn / power windshield washer / cigarette lighter / full set of gauges (including a working fuel gauge) / dash lights / electric fan with thermostatic control and manual over-ride / manual choke. The car even has a trailer hitch on it. The car is ready to go, other than the tires are older and the hydraulic parking brake needs a master cylinder rebuild. My BUY-IT-NOW is VERY reasonable and my reserve is a STEAL for this car. With all of the chrome / etc. you couldn’t build this car today for anywhere near what you can buy this one for!!! The flame job is horrible, but those can easily be removed, or just re-paint the whole car the exact color you want it. The car also includes an old school chrome T windshield setup with front and rear lantern style lights. The engine is a smooth running Chevy V-8 with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The rear end is a chrome 9-inch ford posi-trac with a transverse leaf spring and adjustable coil over shocks. The front end is a chrome drop axle with a transverse leaf and chrome hairpins. The body is a fiberglass one with a truck style trunk. The chassis is custom built for the car. From what I understand this was originally a Speedway Motors kit that got a bit out of hand, but I’m not 100% sure of that. Car has a copper/brass T style Walker radiator with a large electric fan. The chrome side-pipes have baffles inside them, so the car has a nice mellow and throaty sound to it. The motor has an Edelbrock carb and aluminum intake with an Accel dual point distributor and chrome coil. The waterpump and top pulley as well as the alternator are chrome also. The fuel tank is fabricated steel. All of the wiring runs through a modern style fusebox with blade style fuses. The builder of this car had an excellent attention to detail, and didn’t miss a thing. If you remove the flames and/or re-paint the car, it would really be something to be proud of and enjoy!!!!
This car has a lot of cool old style looks, and chrome everywhere you look….It all works and it’s a running/driving car. It needs a set of tires, and you are ready to roll. The rear wheels weren’t stored with the car, and they do have rust on them.
The car has a clean / clear title (in hand), so no problems with licensing or insuring it.
CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY, SO I DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY IF IT SELLS OUTSIDE OF EBAY. ONCE THE RESERVE IS MET, THE HIGH BIDDER OWNS IT!!!!
