Description:

1967 Ford Mustang GT350

For sale is my 1967 Mustang Fastback. I bought the car from a buddy of mine that found it in a pole barn. The story is that it was turnedinto a Shelby GT350 clone along time ago, and sat on jack stands for about 10 years, with some tinkering intermittently. I liked it because it has great patina and just needed someone to finish it and rectify some mechanical issues from sitting.I was told the odometer was set to "0" when the build was finished and today it has about 450 miles on it, most of which was put on by me over the summer. When I bought it, the C4 trans was slippingbadly, the radiator was shot, the manual brakes were gone, and it sat like a 4x4 because the springs had been stretched out from sitting on jack stands for so long. The following is what has been done over the past summer:

Body

Buffed the car out and generally cleaned it up; the paint/patina is the best part of this car. Very solid; I have owned several 67-68 fastbacks and this car has the best gaps by far. Chrome is very nice, also added a new drivers side mirror.

Motor

347 Ford Racing Crate Motor with SVO heads. We have changed all fluids, filter(s) and flushed all of the fuel lines and gas tank. Also, installed new fuel pump, plugs etc... car runs fantastic and is fully shaken down. Has an MSD billet distributor and 6AL box. Doesn't leak anywhere.

Suspension

Rear - 4.5 mid-eyes with rear sway bar kit, poly bushings, and KYB shocks

Front - New 620 Coil Springs, all Poly bushings kit,KYB shocks and full bolt replacement kit

Brakes

Removed manual drums and added a new power disc brake kit with new booster, discs etc..from Mustangs Plus

Transmission/Drivetrain

Converted the car to Manual with a focuson highway drivability

Tremec TKO 600 from American Powertrain

Kevlar Clutch

Hurst 10" shifter

Hurst white 5 speed Knob

New custom length driveshaft with U-joints

9 in Rear - guessing 3:50 ratio

Exhaust

JBA shorty headers

Full custom 2.5" with X - rear exit

Fully heat wrapped from headers to front of transmission

Wheels

Vintage Racing Torque Thrusts

15x7 front and 15x8 Rear

BG Goodrich Radial T/A front

Hoosier 245/60 Rear

Also include the 225 Hoosier tires for front with sale

Cooling

New big block radiator from Mustangs Plus & all new hoses

New fan shroud

New fan

Electrical

New Alternator & voltage Regulator

The car drives phenomenally on the highway; 80 miles an hour with one finger on the wheel.

If I keep it, over the winter the plan is to work on the interior; I was going to change over to white seats and headline, replace the carpet (partially removed for trans install) & dynamat all areas. Mechanically, the car runs great, clutch needs a little more break in (Kevlar) but that's it. The only leak currently is in the steering rack, which should be addressed as well. The radio doesn't work, but I do have an excellent condition radio out of a '68 Gt Fastback that I will throw in with the car as well as aGT500 strip kit.I also added an old school Dixco Tach that is mounted but needs to be hooked up with a converter for the MDS box. Additionally, I planned to tighten miscellaneous screws and chase down a few interior rattles. Car does have a "Shelby" roll bar installed. Long story short, if you want a mustang that is solid with great patina, that you can drive reliably and gets thumbs up everywhere, this car fits the bill. This is one of several vehicles I own and I am selling to thin down the fleet. Will include all of the invoices I have for parts and labor.

Serious inquiries only. Car is sold as-is where is, no warranty expressed or implied. I reserve the right to end the auction early, and I will not accept bidders with a feedback of less than 10.
