Description:
1966 Ford Mustang Fastback
1966 Mustang Fastback restomod.Body:
Car has received all new numeral professionally installed. New one peace floor with rails, torque boxes, front rails, both full quarters, both doors, both fenders, rear wheel wells, quarter drops, outer rocker rails and roof. Body painted in Marton ford color. If I were keeping the cut I would do the cut and buff as this hasn't been done yet after the final assembly. There are a few minor assembly or use Knicks/scratches but they are minor. There is not any rust on this car anywhere. These are rare cars to find without rust. The hood is fiberglass and aligns on the sides but has a bow in the center resulting in a gap. These fiber hoods are really no good. I would change to steel or better reinforced fiber hood from mustangs to fear if I were keeping.
Driveline:
347 Stroker fuller roller motor. Blueprint short block, full roller motor. Erson roller cam, aluminum heads and full roller rockers. Aluminum dual plane manifold and Edelbrock 600 carb with electric choke. Motor is new, have receipts. Pulls hard in this light car. Tremic t5 5 speed and 9" ford rear with 3:40 gears. Cobra style rims.
Suspension and braking:
Car has Heidts mustang 2 front end with coil over shocks. The rear suspension is also Heidts suspension with coil over shocks. All four corners are completely are fully adjustable for height and firmness. Car has power brakes and disc conversions on all four corners.
Interior:
As you can see this is all new. Has the cobra rear seat delete kit ($400) value but I also have the original fold down seat. Car has a new instrument cluster with all gauges working. Seats are perfect. All trim is new. Power window conversion worth $700 in parts. Headliner new. Floors are gator skinned and new carpet. New dash pad. New everything!
I most, but not all receipts totaling over $40k that will go to the buyer. This does not include the cost of the car, small misc parts and the wheels and tires which add another $2k. Almost $20k in bodywork receipts. Big money went into this build. I am selling because my wife and I have fundamental differences on what constitutes a good investment. I also currently own a 66 Deuce, 66 Bronco, C3 Vette, 66 Fairlane, 5.o Mustang and this Fastback Mustang. Apparently enough is enough and I need to unload two cars. Car can be seen upon request. Vehicle is for sale locally as well so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.
