Description:

1929 Ford Model A

You are bidding on a 1929 Ford Tudor Street Rod with a finish build date of 1994 and having just over 5000 miles on the odometer. The car was built with every part being new or rebuilt & being all steel except for one part. A considerable amount of the parts were custom built in a machine shop on CNC equipment. This is an unusual car as it has a vehicle history dating from the original owner to the present 4th owner. The owner & builder has created a book of 176 pages telling the full history of the vehicle, a listing of every part that went into the build along with the cost of each item & where that item was purchased, pictures of the build process, electrical diagrams for all the components, outside services that were done on the car with an explanation of the what was done -- who preformed the work & the cost of that work. This Rod took over 5 years to build with some work done every day of those 5 years. The total cost of the build without the 5 years of physical labor was $40,464.19. The car is well designed, extremely well built with top quality parts & has passed a NRA inspection for safety. The Ford has the original frame that was fully boxed, the main body was acid dipped to remove all paint & rust, there are (150) 1/8" LED lights in the fenders & running board edges that are visible only when turned on, it has a heavy (.72# per sq ft) heat killer KoolMat insulation installed on the floor & firewall, inner fender liners to protect the exterior paint, 93 Mercury medium cranberry paint with custom graphics, trailer hitch, electrical disconnect switch, stainless exhaust, spare tire & rim mounted in the rear & all new wood in the roof interior.
Custom work that was done:
Custom stainless steel battery box in floor behind passenger seat with new battery
Custom non-movable windshield with defrost
Custom single ladder rear suspension
Custom 3" chop
Custom tubular upper control arms
Custom steering column drop from aluminum billet
Custom dash CNC'd from aluminum plate & a form cut step inserted with wood finish Formica
Build consists of:
Chevy 4 bolt balanced 350 -- flat top pistons with mild cam & stock crank
Chevy 350 turbo transmission -- rebuilt & dyno tested
Chevy station wagon steel roof
Mustang front end
Cadillac tilt telescope steering column.
Lincoln Versies rear end with coil over suspension
Disk brakes all around
Air & heat -- Vintage air
Rootlieb hood & louvered side panels -- side panels not pictured
Ron Francis wiring kit
Seats -- Ferro front & Mercury rear with storage behind rear seats
Power windows in front
Billet Specialties wheel rims with spinners
Frame mounted saddle A tanks by Tanks Inc (7 gallon each)
Repairs needed:
A rattle coming from the heat shield above one muffler (needs a stiffening rib built into the heat shield)
A few of the LED lights are out -- Needs the wires exposed behind the fender & running board,
re-soldered, covered with body filler & re-painted. This is an easy fix! Just takes time.
Air conditioner refrigerant needs charged
The car is being sold because it isn't driven. I will answer any questions & can supply additional pictures. Can deliver anywhere in USA for cost of fuel or buyer can arrange for transportation of vehicle. Buyer must take possession of vehicle within 14 days of close of auction unless prior arrangements are made. Highly recommend physically inspecting the car prior to bidding. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my ability but I could have missed something. I don't recommend purchasing this car if you are taller than 5' 9" because of the 3" chopped roof creating visibility problems with tall indiduduals.
This car is for sale locally and seller reserves the right to end auction without notice. All reasonable offers will be considered. I will also consider a 7500 to 8500 lb mini excavator with less than 3000 hrs as a partial or full trade. I have additional photo's & can email them.
