An iconic Ferrari...Pininfarina designed...no other Ferrari (outside of the "me too" styling of the 348) has the dramatic side strakes and the slatted taillights. Even people that don't know cars walk into the dealership looking for the latest "Testarossa model."
The most iconic Ferrari is one of the least expensive... The next-generation 512TR is often priced $100,000 more than the comparable Testarossa but the incremental improvements do not justify a near doubling in price. And while Ferrari guys might call their Testarossa a TR, the rest of the world might call a 512TR a Testarossa.
