This listing is for a rare Classic 1959 Edsel Convertible that has some desirable features and is a sound investment in the collectible car marketWe have lost our storage as we have downsized and the Edsel has to go so I am selling this Edsel at NO RESERVE ...Please bid whatyou want to pay.
It is an original President Red car with Black and Red vinyl interior.The convertible top is black and the top frame is in good condition
It has power steering and power top
The engine is the famous 332cid V8 that was the early Edsel engine that helped start the now famous FE engine familyThis engine was durable and economical to repair and run on a daily basis. The engine was rebuilt in 1989 .Being equipped with the automatic transmission made the carresponsive and fun to drive
These Edsel Convertibles have an excellent history of prices over $40-50K for nicely restored examples with some of the expertly restored concourse show winning cars fetchingcloser to the $80K range . This is not one of those high dollar restored cars but sure could be someday
The body is original and has had repairs in the rockers below the doors and lower body areas . The paint is a 5 on a 1-10 scale an, though lookinggood from 20 fee, it is fading and has flaws and chips. A restoration will be warranted someday to make this car it's best but stilllooks good enough to cruise in and be proud of it's originality appearance as it has wear and tear but still shows wel, and yes, it is hard to beat Red
It has nice interior (with a couple of seam splits) and good glass. fair chrome and older tires but still a decent driver. I would not be concerned to get in and drive around town or on cruise night
The electrical items worked at last check and the gauges operate also
