1947 Dodge Power Wagon

The 1947 Dodge WD-15 is a ¾-ton pickup that was previously owned by the Vintage Truck magazine creator. It was refurbished at D&D Classic Automobile Restoration of Covington, Ohio. The truck restoration was documented through several issues of Vintage Truck magazine over a roughly 10 year span in the mid-2000s.
The truck was leased to a movie production company in 2002 and used in the filming of the adaptation of the John Grisham novel "A Painted House".
The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, however, the odometer was rebuilt, and the total mileage is not known.
The following work was completed:

• The 217.7ci inline-six engine was rebuilt
• Equipped with a downdraft Carter carburetor and an oil bath air cleaner)
• The pistons, bearings, and valves have been replaced along with the wiring harness.
• The brakes and suspension were overhauled
• Bodywork and rust repairs were performed
• The frame was repaired
• The bench seat was reupholstered in brown vinyl
• The exterior was repainted blue and black
• The tailgate, bedsides, and wood bed floor were replaced
• Lower grills, fenders, and running boards, the windshield and frame, weatherstripping, and taillights were replaced
• The cowl-mounted lights were modified to operate as turn signals
• A turn signal switch was fitted, and the crank-out windshield mechanism was rebuilt
• The rear of the frame was repaired following the removal of a hitch receiver
• Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission
• The rear axle was overhauled and the clutch was replaced
