Vehicle Details

Real RT U-code 440 car with Holley double pumper carb. Edelbrock performer intake. 440 HP has blank vin plate so most likely warranty block. Casting date looks like 75. The A833 18-spline 4-speed trans is not numbers matching but is out of a 70 Challenger. The trans hump looks unmolested so I believe it to be a factory 4 speed. Has the Hurst pistol grip shifter. Trunk pan replaced with AMD metal by local shop but extensions could use replacing down the road. Front floors have small rust spot. Has 8 3/4 rear end with suregrip. Dual flow master exhaust which sound nice. Has Mopar purple cam. Interior in pretty decent shape. Dash pad has some cracking in it, bought dash cover as a quick fix till I could buy new dash pad. Per vin car was born at the Los Angeles plant. In the 90s, early 2000s it was owned by the Hemet Police Department here in CA and used as a promotional D.A.R.E. program car. After the program ended it was repainted black in 09 and stored inside in the department evidence bay until I purchased in 2016. After I bought it I added new fuel sending unit, reverse light wiring, fuel pump, RAM clutch and flywheel, heater core, carb rebuild and timing set, and a few other things that don’t come to mind at the moment. Garaged ever since. Paint isn’t perfect but has wax and holds a nice shine. Wheels are cragar steelies and tires are almost brand new. Runs, drives, and stops as it should. Glass in good condition. Disc brakes in front, pads in rear. Great driver quality car that is turn key and sounds great. Fender tag long gone before I got the car. No broadcast sheet in rear seat either. Interior is decent with no rips or tears. Has working rear Sony speakers with an amp in trunk. Has an older Kenwood radio but it still works great. I have a Bluetooth FM transmitter to play music from my Phone. Original 1970s California license plates. Paint under carpet looks to be B5 blue.
