Description:

1974 Dodge Monaco

A truly fun and amazing movie car! A 1974 Dodge Monaco clone of the Bluesmobile as driven by Dan Akroyd in the blockbuster hit 1980 film "The Blues Brothers". This Monaco sports the Mt. Prospect old police colorings and badges plus lots of re-created wear and aging to match the movie right down to the license plates and Police push-bars. This car gets waves and thumbs up everywhere I go, and have gotten several offers for local TV and appearances at shows and businesses.
Has a professionally shop-modified 400 motor with mid-rise aluminun intake, high flow carburetor, heavy duty radiator, new plugs, wires and hoses. The car starts right up, idles nicely and has good acceleration. Has after-market gauges for water, ammeter and oil pressure as well as a full power cut-off that kills all battery power as a safety measure against theft. All headlights, taillights and turn signals work and does have a spotlight but it doesn't illuminate. Has an air-ride shock absorber system in the rear that can raise and lower the car as needed for a changing look.
The car has good solid sheet metal and rides very smoothly down the road. Floor pans are solid, trunk is solid and all doors, good and trunk close tightly and latch as they should. All windows and glass are good and open properly. Interior has newer caroeting, new front seat cover and original back seat fabric, Black newer headliner and new rear package tray. The beige dash was a Chrysler donation along with the side upper pads from a Royal Monaco.
I do not have the speaker for the roof, I never preferred that look. Winner to pay with cash or bank-to-bank wire. Please ask any and all questions before bidding, I try to be as thorough as possible but opinions about condition can vary, so please ask. Located in Oswego, IL. Text 630-608-3978. I can help load the car but buyer is responsible for transportation arrangements for long distances.

Attention: I have just gotten a request that I will need the car for a family wedding on June 17th, so if the buyer is willing to allow the car to remain until that date, it would be appreciated. I am willing to rent the car back until that date for $100 extra back to the buyer. Please realize I am not canceling the auction but adding this as a parameter of the auction. If this is a problem, I am sorry and please retract your bid.
