CARROL SHELBY SIGNED ON, ND TOGETHER THEY CAME UP WITH A SHADOW TWO DOOR, LL OF WHICH WERE PAINTED WHITE, ITH GREY INTERIORS. ALL TRIM LEVELS WERE THE SAME, OME RECEIVING A/C (WHICH THIS CAR HAS), UT OTHERWISE ALL WERE IDENTICAL. AS PART OF THE PACKAGE, HERE WAS OF COURSE THE TURBOCHARGED 2.2 LITER 4 CYLINDER, HELBY AUTOGRAPHED STEERING WHEEL, ASH PLAQUE WITH THE NUMBERED INDICATOR, ILL PLATES WITH THE SHELBY MONOGRAM, USTOM WHEELS, ND ALL OF THE BLUE PINSTRIPE AND BADGING. I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO. IT WAS PURCHASED BY HIM FROM THRIFTY RENTAL WITH ABOUT 18K FOR MILES ON IT. HE USED IT AS A SUMMERTIME CRUISER UNTIL I PURCHASED IT FROM HIM. WHEN I BOUGHT IT, HERE WAS A NOISY MAIN BEARING. THE CAR SAT IN MY GARAGE FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS UNTIL A FRIEND OF MINE SAW IT, EAD ABOUT THE RARITY OF IT, ND ULTIMATELY ENDED UP BUYING IT FROM ME. HE COMPLETELY REBUILT THE ENGINE, NCLUDING NEW CRANK, OD AND MAIN BEARINGS, ISTONS, INGS, OMPLETE HEAD REBUILD AND NEW CLUTCH AND PRESSURE PLATE.
HE DROVE THE VEHICLE APPROX. 28K MILES SINCE, ND, AS NOW DECIDED TO MOVE ON. HE BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO ME TO SELL ON EBAY FOR HIM.
THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. ENGINE RUNS SMOOTHLY, ND IDLES WELL. THE TURBO SPOOLS UP FINE, ND YOU REALLY FEEL THE KICK IN THE PANTS AROUND 4500 RPM. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY, ND THE CLUTCH ENGAGES AS IT SHOULD.
THE PAINT HAS DELAMINATION ON AREAS ABOVE THE SIDE PINSTRIPE. IT WAS THAT WAY WHEN I SOLD THE CAR TO HIM. IT IS ONLY IN CERTAIN AREAS, HE DECKLID AND THE HOOD ARE NOT AFFECTED. IT COULD BE PAINTED FROM THE PINSTRIPE UP ON THE DOORS, OOF AND SAIL PANELS. THE GREY PAINT ON THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE CAR IS IN GOOD CONDITION, ITH A FEW TOUCHUPS NEEDED HERE AND THERE. THE MAJORITY OF THE PINSTRIPE AND LOGOS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.
THE INTERIOR IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE DRIVERS SEAT IS SHOWING WEAR, UT THE OTHER SEATS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION. DOOR PANELS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION, S IS THE CARPETING AND ORIGINAL FLOORMATS.
THE HEADLINER IS SAGGY IN A COUPLE OF AREAS, UT STILL HANGING IN THERE. DASH IS IN GOOD CONDITION. ALL OF THE GAUGES FUNCTION AS DESIGNED. WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN FINE. TRUNK COMPARTMENT IS MINT.
ALL DOOR SEAMS, RUNK SEAMS, HEEL LIPS ECT ARE EXCELLENT WITH NO SWELLING OR RUST THROUGH. THE BODY IS AS STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW, ITH NO DAMAGE VISIBLE ANYWHERE.
TIRES ARE NEAR NEW, XHAUST IS EXCELLENT. WINDSHIELD IS CRACK FREE.
