1935 Dodge Other Pickups Street Rod

A great street rod is all about an unashamed performance appearance with secret cool rewards hidden throughout, and this 1935 Dodge Pickup does it perfectly. More than just a slammed outlaw presentation, you have great details that keep people talking about your machine for much longer than the cars that cost five times as much.
The matte gray color feels like a tribute to the earthy rat rod culture that inspired this design, but the high-end professional application reveals the true nature of this truck. It's a custom build that was completed only about 2k miles ago. There's a fresh look where no expense was spared and no compromises were taken to create the coolest street rod pickup around. Getting this truck impossibly low to the ground means channeling the cab over the frame and running the rear suspension through the bed. The '35 Dodge's grille had distinct curved look that's perfect to lead the way, and the red insert sets the tone seen throughout the rest of the truck. After all, you see more red on the custom pinstriping, motor accents, and of course, the custom metallic flames that burn red-hot down the side. And speaking of those flames, the lime green outline is the same color as the wheels. This is such coordinated total build that the padded vinyl roof matches the custom cover on the truck bed.
The interior has been just as carefully crafted to be comfortable without betraying the minimalist attitude. For example, the bucket seats have a cool industrial-style riveted look. The carpeting and padding are a simple crisp black, and the design tries not to draw too much attention to luxuries like power windows. The suicide doors have clean and simple aluminum interior skins. There's full insulation in the roof, and it stays on display for people to marvel at the shine. You get a grippy sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and the extra tall shifter will make you feel like the Rat Fink. The dash has the exterior flame's bold red as well as the custom pinstriping, and it's the hub for the full Dolphin gauge package.
This engine was made to be on display. The 350 cubic-inch block was painted red to match the body, and the inserts on the polished valve covers and air intake match, too. More than just look great, this V8 is a full performance build with a four-bolt main, Indy heads, Lunati Voodoo camshaft, a polished Edelbrock intake, and a topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. And this mean motor also has nice supporting components like an MSD ignition and a Champion aluminum radiator with electric fan. Those Indy headers add power while directly feeding the exhaust. And you get to dial-in your ideal performance and rumbling soundtrack thanks to the five-speed manual transmission. This feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear end. And don't forget to look at the undercarriage photos where you'll spot a strong custom frame, front disc brakes, and adjustable coilovers in the rear.
